Actually, it's a reader to TPM that makes the point....

Am I the only one who is bothered by the way the pundits continually point out that Edwards’s or Obama’s lack of foreign policy experience is a genuine weakness, while Guiliani’s lack of foreign policy experience is never mentioned? Unlike Guiliani, at least Edwards and Obama have served in a national office.

3. That sure is ugly
If Guiliani does run, he'll be mocked relentlessly for this.

7. Is that real or photoshopped?
If it is real I am sure we will see a lot more of that picture.

I just learned the other day that he used to be married to his cousin, I don't think very many people know that but I think it will be fun to watch the fundies talk about the sanctity of cousins marrying.

8. Oh wait until they hear about the details of that one
She was his second cousin and that marriage was annulled by the Catholic Church. It is all out there for anyone wishing to search for it. In a nutshell, pardon the pun, she had mental problems and he flat out deserted her for another woman.

They could write a soap opera about Rudy's love life.

2. That's a valid point
Senator Obama is on the Foreign Relations committee and John Edwards has co-chaired a task council on US-Russia relations, Guiliani has only been a mayor.

4. And the media has never mentioned Rudy's lack of experience...
even though they build him up as one of the front-runners for the Republican Party ..

5. I'm no Guilliani fan, not
before, during or after he was mayor but I have to disagree. Running NYC is like being President of a small and very diverse country. You have to have gotten foreign policy experiernce because, well, it's NYC.

Did he do a good job, not in my opinion but he probably has as much or more experience than any other candidate.

6. And he was a vicious, callous, much-hated mayor. He only showed what "looked"
like leaadership to DESPERATE Americans on 9/11 in the black hole of lack of leadership left by the Chimperorer.

Guiliani ain't sh*t.

10. 10M people
That's true- NYC is larger than many states. I know the mayor of DC travels overseas for diplomatic purposes (http://www.examiner.com/a-331522~Mayor_goes_overseas_yet_again.html), I could see the mayor of New York doing similarly.
