Here's how to waste your time supporting a candidate.
1. Continue to discuss the matter with people who demonstrably show a willingness to use manipulative and disingenuous tactics. If someone acts like an ass, do you really think you're going to be able to stop that over an anonymous Internet message board?

2. Use those tactics yourself.

3. Neglect to do the real work necessary to be compelling to people who can be reasoned with.

You will probably do more for a particular candidate off of DU than you will on DU.

5. Agreed. I'm a bit amazed at the animosity being shown
by detractors of our various potential candidates already. It seems rather early to be getting so worked up about it!
