My DD: Pelosi, Dean, Schumer approvals way up, Emmanuel... not so much
The new favorability ratings from Gallup should make you smile:

* Democratic Party: 57% favorable, 33% unfavorable
* Republican Party: 35% favorable, 58% unfavorable

Don't run from or against the party. Embrace it.

This is an open thread.

: Well now this is rather stunning. Nancy Pelosi picked up 50 points in approval ratings in the Daily Kos poll, going from 36% approval to 86% approval from July to November. Chuck Schumer also saw his approval go up by 50 points because of the Senate gains. This isn't just related to a positive atmosphere for Democrats; Rahm Emanuel's underperformance saw his approval move from only 30 to 39, and his disapproval went as well from 57 to 60. Dean went from a 90% approval to a 97% approval rating. That's the kind of approval rating only totalitarian regimes tend to get.

2. It used to pain me to be considered a part of some sort
of amiable majority instead of a loud holdout or a principled objector, but in this case, YEEHAW!
I'm tickled all to hell.
Dean is a remarkable man.

3. So that's why Carville is
going around saying all this stuff about Dean! He likes being in the minority, he's pissed that we won.
