Bayh/Obama in 2008!!
The most handsome presidential ticket ever in the history of American politics. Name me any single Republican ticket that could beat that? Carrying Indiana, Kentucky, and Ohio in 2008 would win the election easily!

1. I think there are a few qualifications that are more important than looks.
And Bayh? Meh.

3. No, no! There's simply no way to pronounce that man "Bayh"'s name!
You can't vote for a man whose name you can't pronounce! It just won't work. Historically proven fact. Look - who was president, William McKinley or Leon Czolgosz? Well, McKinley was president. And Czolgosz shot him dead. That's just reality.

12. Thank you - I'd always thought there was a trick to it.
One of those deceptively simple names, perhaps actually pronounced "Bah-yah" or "B'hayy" or something like that.

4. mmm...Vilsack + Obama? We have some interesting candidates.
I like Feingold a lot. As you suggest, carrying some of those midwest states is necessary, but I doubt Kentucky is possible. If they run Huckabee of Arkansas, it will be very tough to penetrate into the south. Missouri would be a real battleground, too.

6. Obama refuses public affiliation with the DLC.
Bayh can't get elected and is hoping people forget he was dumb enough to vote for the Iraq War.

He inspired the longest sit in in American history (77 days and nights) by Disability activists because of his Medicaid cuts.
Unless he runs on a lessons learned platform re: healthcare, etc. He's not going anywhere.

9. Scratch Bayh
Put someone else at the top of the ticket, please. He was gullible enough to fall for the war arguments AND the PBA ban and even voted to override Clinton's veto.
I can't stand the guy.
