Yesterday's Bush Press Conference -- The Politics of Expediency
In his press conference yesterday, Bush virtually admitted to the fact that the cornerstone of his presidency has been expediency. He decides on something he wants or something he wants to do for some personal or crackpot reason, figures out a way to do it and then thinks up an excuse to give to the public for doing it. So much for moral values. The Republican "philosophy" is bankrupt and the Republicn methodology is flawed. The entire moral values thing is a huge myth. The real Republican value is expediency. Lie when it is useful. The end justifies the means. It's a perfect circle to what the right used to claim the Communists stood for - - the end justifying the means.
1. The neocons extracted some of the worst from both political extremes of 20th-century totalitarianism
and foisted it upon the people of this Republic to the cheering adulation of tens of millions of 'Murikans and: the disasters wrought will take generations to undo, if ever, and even then this mass sickness will remain in the hearts and souls of true-believers.
