I can tell you right now how Bush is going to act at his 1 PM press conference
He's going to be a complete suck-up...and not to his base, but to us.

He's going to put on a humble pie act, and he's going make believe that he sincerely wants to work with the Democrats in his final two years.

He's going to try his damndest to butter us up today for one reason only:

Visions of impeachment are going through the manchild's head, and he's crapped his pants more than once since last night just thinking about it.

36. I hope he has a meltdown on national TV.
His majority is gone, his agenda is dead in the water, the neocon wet-dream is over....bring it on! I may watch just to see if he throws a tantrum worthy of a spoiled 3-year-old denied a toy in Wal-Mart.

41. I agree ...
Edited on Wed Nov-08-06 12:00 PM by butterfly77
he will find a way to say it is all up to the dems to work with him and he will blame the media and claim the washington values some how get in the way of doing work. Which means he doesn't want the media to ask him questions and he expects the dems to do it his way or they are being obstructionist.

I am also hoping to see a temper tantrum...

10. Humble pie is not Junior's dish
Any normal person would sincerely attempt to heal the relationship, but don't forget junior is a psychopath. Our win didn't change that fact. I think his defensive smirk will be intact. along with a classic Rovian spin to his speech.

now and not be partisans. No, always remember it is the Dems who are the problem. They have no ideas and the can't make decisions.

Maybe not..but when I read that it just kinda flashed.

Or he could get out there and start jabbin' his pointy little finger in the air with that "weasel-ass" look on his face and tell us what cheney said the other day .."that this changes nothing".."stay the course" yada yada yada.

Blow it out your ass, Smirky.

When in the last six years did that thought ever occur to you?

You said you have a 'mandate' that would preclude you from working with us. Well, now the same can be said of US.

15. why would he be worried about impeachment?
senate wouldneed to convict, and so we'd need 16 republican sens to go along with our 51 dems, and no guarantee all dems would vote for it.

39. If they do any serious investigations,...
...they could probably get the necessary Repub votes for conviction in the Senate. Once the scope of the corruption and incompetence of this White House is made clear in the national media, a la the Clenis, his rubber-stamp Senators will run away from him and the cabal to save their own sorry asses. The Dems didn't have a 2/3 majority in '74, but Nixon resigned because he knew he'd be convicted by the Senate.

24. no sucking up
This arrogant asshat doesn't know how to suck up. He will be defiant and obnoxious as usual, threatening the Dems to not do anything drastic to cause more terrorist shit. He has to stay the hard line, he doesn't know how to give it. I am sure they are making plans as we speak to continue their threantening attitudes. Cheney has already said it doesn't make a difference to him and he won't abide by any subpeonas that might come down. No, I don't believe he believes this makes a damn bit of difference. It is going to be on the Democrats to make him listen and know that they mean business.

WE are the ones who are out of touch, WE are the ones who don't understand how much is at stake. That will give him all the more reason to go full-steam-ahead right into that brick wall of a Democratic House, and maybe a Democratic Senate. I can hear him now: "The work has become harder, but we will not be deterred."

He doesn't get it. He never has, he never will. He's always right, you see. Always. :sarcasm:

I swear he popped wood just at the thought of meeting with her on Friday.
