If you a Republican voter, what's motivating you to vote today?
* A 4+ Trillion Bush debt?
* Corruption Central in the Republican Party?
* An elective and unjust war, founded on lies that has killed 100's of thousands?
* An administration that ignored the warnings leading up to 9/11 that killed 3000 Americans?
* A totally botched federal response to the Katrina hurricane?
* Putting plans to build nukes on the web?
* Outing CIA NOC's for political gain?
* The world thinks we are the #1 terrorist state in the world?

Or, is it the thought that NANCY PELOSI could be Speaker of the House? :scared: BOO!

9. It probably still is for a lot
but isn't it sort of ironic considering Haggart and Foley.
For some I doubt that they will ever get the hypocrisy of the GOP.

6. The usual: Hate, racism, greed, homophobia, war-lust, envy, and
latent desire for the guy next door. We're pretty predictable, us repukes.

7. May I add, an outright attack on the environment during the whole admin.?
But of course, Bush is 'protecting the public', which means allowing far more coal emissions, other air/water pollution, 'further study' on global warming, in the pockets of Big Oil/Big Mining/Big Timber/Big Anything. Of course, some recent religious and political 'leaders' on the Right have been in other... men's... pockets lately. Haggard? Foley? Others? (Not that there's anything wrong with gays, but these are people who 'hate' gays, because they're ... gay themselves? :^)

10. The USPS delivered my neighbor's Repub. GOTV flyer to me
Before I delivered it to the right mailbox, I read it. The Repubs. seem to think that bogeymen and women motivate their voters. It said, essentially, if you don't vote for our traditional values, John Kerry will vote against them. Nancy Pelosi will vote against them, etc., etc.

11. It's the same issue which has been good for the repugs since 1994....
TAXES TAXES TAXES TAXES TAXES TAXES TAXES TAXES TAXES TAXES TAXES TAXES

If we make this our top priority item in our platform in 2008,
the GOP is toast for good.

12. I'm not Republican, but I'll bet for a lot of them, everyday folks,
it's the fact that they don't want to admit they were that bone-crushingly WRONG. Whadya think?

14. I think you are correct. As the base shrinks, those left are more closely
ID'ing themselves as Republicans. It's like a sports ID to them. In baseball, I'm a diehard Red Sox fan. I hate the Yankees. If the Sox lost every game, I'd still be a Red Sox fan. Politics should be different. If the Democrats were doing the stuff Republicans are doing...I'd be pulling the levers for Republicans. I think this ID is critical for Republicans and they play to this with their base. Look how they demonize their opposition.

13. Gay marriage
Its the only issue on the ballot here in South Carolina that's really drawing the crowds.

We are voting either for or against an amendment to our state constitution declaring marriage = 1 man + 1 woman.
