Man it stinks not having exit polls. We usually get them about now.

Exit Polls: What You Should Know 2006

Yes, the television networks will be conducting exit polls today. But if you are looking for the leaked exit poll estimates that typically appear online on Election Day, you are probably out of luck at least until later tonight. More on that below. But as long as you are here, let me tell you a little bit about how exit polls are conducted, how they will be different this year, and why it is probably best to try to ignore the exit poll estimates that will inevitably leak later tonight. ........

4. Rove
For years the exit polls almost always predicted the winner. When Rove got in and figured out how to steal the votes the exit polls stopped predicting the correct winner as it did in the past. So now the exit polls look different than the final vote. So now the media needs to let Rove skew the votes before they can report them.

3. They can explain all they want as to why they're doing this...
But it all boils down to one thing: the Corporate Media controls the message. And after what I've seen and heard them do the past 6-8 years, such a notion does not give me much confidence that they'll be unbiased or truthful. I see their bottling up of exit poll information as another prelude to propagandize for their corporate masters.

6. Corporate Media Controls The OUTCOME!
Then manipulate the polls to match the outcome.

5. I thought they always waited until people started getting home from work
Around 7:00pm est. Of course that was back when exit polls actually matched the official result within a percentage point or two.

7. DU is acting just like 2004

I was here in 2004...The day started off great, with threads talking about the demise of the thugs and all hail President-elect John Kerry.

As the day progressed we began to see polls were "getting tight"...and following that doom-and-gloom and talk of voter fraud ... before the hammer swung and pushed the Republican oligarcy right back into power.

Expect the same thing this evening.
