Why are Rupugnant's so worried about subpoenas?
If they have nothing to hide, why in the world would the White House be so concerned about Democrat's controlling the House, and using their subpoena powers?

For the last 5 years, the White House, and their conservative echo chamber, have been pointing accusatory fingers at anyone who questioned the need for the government to rifle through personal e-mails, library records, IM's, infiltrate peace organizations, maintain FBI dossiers on innocent Americans, and a whole litany of government police powers aimed at not only foreigners, but Americans.

So how does a party that rallies for government oversight of innocent American citizens, now balk at responding to Congressional subpoenas aimed at overseeing them?

If the Repugs are truly the wholesome, pure, law-abiding stalwarts of morality and ethics that they proclaim to be, they have absolutely nothing to be afraid of. Nothing at all.

Oh sure, they'll whine that subpoena powers can be abused and even used for political purposes. But we all know that is nonsense, because when American's voiced concerns that Patriot Act police powers would be abused and used for political purposes, they scoffed at that silly notion.

In fact I'm sure that a broad, sweeping review of everything they have been doing behind closed doors for the last 5 years, will turn up absolutely nothing questionable, let alone unconstitutional or illegal.

So Repugs, my message to you is to rejoice and praise the Lord. After all of the forthcoming investigations are concluded, I have no doubt that your innocence will be proven, and all of us who have questioned your actions over the last 5 years will be proven wrong.

1. As the Idiot himself once said ...
"An honest man has nothing to hide. An honest man says, 'Come on in, look at whatever you want to look at.' An honest man has nothing to hide."

2. Yes, and we all know that this republican congress is
full of nothing but honest men and women. I'm sure they can't wait to provide subpoened documents and testify under oath as to their words and deeds for the last few years.

Patrick Fitzgerald may not have been able to catch all of the rotten fish, but I'm sure Speaker Pelosi's net will not have quite as many holes.

3. Because they know what a Democratic Congress means.
Investigations plus election reform = a total Republican rout in 2008.
