Now they are turning on him when he has been the only pollster they trusted (i.e. the only one to have Bush's approval consistently above 40%).

One mentioned something about Zogby saying today that his numbers matched Rasmussen's.

Interesting if true.

1. See a tear in my eye ~~ NOT ~~ for the Freepers
For the last, past way too many elections I have had to hear all the Repukes I know crowing about the great election results ~~ with comments made pointedly in my direction.

So, I have NO sympathy for those morans on the Free Repuke forum. As far as I am concerend: Fuck 'em and feed 'em peanuts ~~ they are not even getting close to what they deserve for putting George and the rest of those Nazis in power.

:hi:

2. Rasmussen polls have always leaned to the right
the fact is that now there just isn't time to conduct a real scientific poll. The samplings have so few respondents that the data just doesn't mean much except for media reporting..I believe on Zogby's web site he explains polling and numbers of voters polled vs accuracy..
So chances are if Rasmussen has the race at 51 46 then perhaps Webb may have an even larger lead..

3. I wouldn't exactly call 51-46 big.
They must be pretty paranoid over there to call that big. A 20 pt. difference would be "big" to me.

4. Having a challenge over 50% is very significant...if not big.

7. Yeah neither one has had over 50% for months now
Aside from that it is clear that everything Allen is trying is blowing up in his face. We'll see how it turns out (lets just say that W's win here by 8% two years ago came from no where ;-) ) but I think it is safe to say that in the last three state elections (M.Warner, Kaine, and now Webb) Virginians don't like negative ads. Kaine was going to win anyway but Kilgore's death penalty ad turned a lot of people way off. Allen whining about "that happened __ years ago...not that it really happened mind you" and now trying to paint Webb as a pedophile (heard that on the radio on Friday) or a degenerate just doesn't wash.
