Republican Susan Combs writes disturbing PORN Novels

Since the GOP wants to play the bad book game then I think it is time to point out Republican Susan Combs writes PORN NOVELS. That's right a Republican who claims to be a moral value voter writes PORN!!!!

http://www.votefredhead.com /...

Susan Combs claims to be a person of high moral standards. Her record of writing, having published and selling a pornographic book clearly shows that Susan Combs is a two faced, hypocrite who was obviously more concerned with her literary career and seeing her name in print than the morals of the young People of Texas who are exposed to her 222 page book, A Perfect Match, which has her name at the top of every other page - - - a clear testament to Susan Combs' insatiable ego and desire to see her name in print.

Let's see how Republican DEFENDS A PORN WRITER.

Combs, a 61-year-old Republican who champions abstinence education and is a darling of Texas conservatives, is being portrayed by her Democratic opponent as a smutmonger and a hypocrite for writing a 1990 bodice-ripper titled "A Perfect Match."

Can you believe that she is writing porn and claims abstinence is the way to go. It's time to out this closest sex fend as the George Allen Crew showed THIS IS FAIR GAME.

1. Now, wait. Is it a bodice ripper or is it porn?
There is a difference. Is there a pirate?

2. Fred Heads Republican Opponent Pornographic Book writer Susan Combs
Edited on Mon Oct-30-06 02:18 AM by IanDB1
Meet Fred Heads Republican Opponent Pornographic Book writer Susan Combs.
Susan Combs is not who she says she is.

Susan Combs claims to be a person of high moral standards. Her record of writing, having published and selling a pornographic book clearly shows that Susan Combs is a two faced, hypocrite who was obviously more concerned with her literary career and seeing her name in print than the morals of the young People of Texas who are exposed to her 222 page book, A Perfect Match, which has her name at the top of every other page - - - a clear testament to Susan Combs insatiable ego and desire to see her name in print.

Excerpts of Susan Combs book A Perfect Match are posted on this website and can be accessed by anyone who wants to know the awful truth about Susan Combs. Susan Combs book is definitely pornography as the term pornography is defined in the dictionary. Please see the Blacks Law Dictionary definition of pornography posted on this website. The entire book can be viewed at Fred Heads office in Athens, Texas.

The, two-faced, hypocritical, contradictory acts and conduct of Susan Combs, as the author of the pornographic book, A Perfect Match, and her public position taken during debate on a sex education bill while she served as a State Representative provided clear proof that Susan Combs talks out of both sides of her mouth and that she is unfit to be elected to any public office in Texas. It is way past time to vote Susan Combs out of office so she will be able to devote all of her time to writing pornographic books or doing whatever else she chooses to do. She should not be allowed by the Voters of Texas to advance to hold the Office of Comptroller of Public Accounts after having a two-faced, hypocritical record during her short tenure in the Texas House of Representatives and a failed record as Texas Agriculture Commissioner - - - a job to which she was elected by hanging onto the coat tails of George Bush in 1998 at a time when few People in Texas had any knowledge of her background and record. Its time for the People of Texas to send Susan Combs the message that hypocrite, pornographic book writers will not be tolerated any longer in Public Office in Texas.

Susan Combs has shown no remorse and made no apology for writing her pornographic book. Fred Head hereby challenges Susan Combs to fully explain to the People of Texas why she wrote a pornographic book, apologize to the People and withdraw from the race for Comptroller of Public Accounts.
At a recent Editorial Board Interview with a Newspaper, attended by Susan Combs and her opponents, Susan Combs was asked about her pornographic book and she said.

I wrote the book nineteen years ago. I received lots of congratulatory letters. Ive served with distinction. Im sad that the book company is out of business because I wont get any more royalties.
Susan Combs above stated comments to this Newspaper Editorial Board were arrogant and completely out of touch with the main stream Christian Values that the People of Texas love and live by each day.

Please send Susan Combs a message on Election Day, November 7, 2006, that the People of Texas will not knowingly tolerate a pornographic book writer holding a State Office of Public Trust. Vote for Fred Head for Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts!

4. sounds like a bodice ripper
"Her pajama bottoms slid away with a quiet rustle. Suddenly she was bare. He thrust his leg between hers and a deep heaviness throbbed in her belly... She needed him to fill the aching void at her center."

however, the author is a huge proponent of abstinence only... but the two mains characters depicted are not married...

5. They waited a whole three weeks before having sex
Well, they engaged in sodomy first, with him fingering or fisting her, and then waited three weeks before fornicating.

3. I'm not comfortable with this approach...
I know a LOT of romance authors and a lot of authors who write both erotica and romantica (erotic romance) and I gotta say, back in 1990 romance was still pretty tame by today's standards.

I'm not sure this is a winner at all.

7. It ain't.
Not to mention the editor probably insisted on and maybe even wrote the sex scenes. Those things have strict formulas.

10. Romance isn't porn...
And I'm not sure it's wise to portray it as such.

I'm a stickler about these kinds of things.

12. No winner here
We really don't want to be attacking people for what they wrote or are writing at any time. Even if (like some friends of mine) they are writing really Nihilistic-sex stuff...we're talking beyond bondage, beyond S&M. It's not my thing but I am obligated to defend their right to do so, just as they would defend my right to create both the sweet type and the sexy type of romance novel...which, by the way, is what I do for a living and have done for about the last 15 years. (I took a year off to work on local politics but I am still a writer).

By the way, the terms Bodice-Ripper and Trashy Novel are both anathema to those of us who actually read and write romance. A huge number of women of every political stripe read and enjoy these books. Every time someone attacks these books for being stupid, simple or formulaic, those women are demeaned. I don't think that is your intention. It is certainly no way to get them to vote for your candidates.

One last note: The romance novel is the best selling form of fiction in the world. We contribute to the national economy about what Major-League Baseball does -- and nobody sneers at sports fans though they, too, could certainly find more productive and intellectual pursuits.

14. I think at some point (not necessarily in this thread)
I used the term "trashy" novel, but I put it in quotes to indicate that OTHERS may use this term, but I don't.

I'm not a fan of erotic romance, but I DO enjoy romantic suspense.

11. Fuck this.
These attacks on candidates because they wrote fiction is awful. It frightens me. So now everyone has to write 'wholesome' prose. Faulkner (rape with a corncob), Nabakov (pedophelia) and many other great writers, chose and wrote about some very disturbing shit. No, I'm not comparing a bodice ripper to Faulkner, but this attack on "porn" in novels, is not something I'll endorse- no matter who's doing it.

13. Only "pro-family" authors should be called to account for writing porn
Imagine trying to be elected Rabbi General of Israel after publishing a book of pork recipes.

People who want to scream and holler that everyone should repress their sexuality should expect to be questioned about it when they write novels about women being forced to have sex with bears.
