Poll question: How many yard signs do you have in your lawn?
Edited on Sat Oct-28-06 01:05 PM by ih8thegop
I think I have most of you beat:

Granholm (incumbent Governor)
Stabenow (incumbent US Senator)
Amos Williams (challenger for Attorney General)
David LaGrand (challenger for State Senate)
Kathy White (incumbent University of Michigan Regent)

Sorry, polls are turned off at Level 3.

Can't see our yard from the road and I see no point in trying to influence the vote of our neighbor's dog.

4. in good faith I cannot support a governor about to be indicted.
the guy is bad news. The corruption across both sides of the aisle is so foul and disgusting, that None of the Above would win many elections here.

And to think he still has a presidential committee working.

Bloggo of Illinois, for those who couldn't guess. Stu Levine, his money bags man, just got indicted. His top aide, fundraiser and political hatchet man, Tony Rezko was indicted last week. Bloggo is going down soon.

10. I got em...

I've never seen anyone in my neighborhood put signs out ... but this year I DID!! 4 of em ... and I dare anyone to come to my door and complain about the 'aesthetics of the neighborhood'.

I have 1 repug neighbor I'm almost hoping has the nerve to come over. I'll politely remind her that, in spite of this Administration's recent efforts, the American people still have SOME rights and freedoms ... then I'll mention that I'm assuming her son (HS senior planning to attend Georgetown this fall) will be delaying college to enlist for military duty in Iraq to support her President's war.

I have no front lawn - only a lawn in what I'd call the back garden but you would call the back/rear yard. Apart that I'm England so's the only signs which would mean anything would be those intended to wind up my neighbour who is from St Louis and had been here since 1955. If someone can give me a name of a member of the Democratic Party standing for election in St Louis then I'll be happy to oblige and post it in my back garden in support of the candidate. :)

22. Three here in SouthWest PA....
Casey, Murtha, and a local politician. On the car: Murtha, Casey and Rendell. Plus 2 peace bumper stickers, a Gandhi bumper sticker, and a war is not he answer sticker. Everyone in the area knows me in my Beetle. I can't have any road rage because my car is too recognizable.

24. None.
I live at the dead end of a private road, with the house and yard set so that it can't be seen from the road. No one comes down this way but my family. Still, to be honest, I don't really see the point.

Who allows their choice of candidate to be influenced by someone's sign or sticker?

Doesn't seem like a very thoughtful, responsible way to choose a candidate, from my perspective.

28. 3 in my very red county
Williamson County Texas has zero Democratic officeholders.

I have 3 yard signs

David Van Oz (D) for AG
Support for local school bonds in this fall's election
End The War in Iraq

Other than a few more signs to support the school bonds, there are no other yard signs in my neighborhood. You'd never know there was an election in November. In 2004 there were Bush signs in almost every yard.

Most amazing thing - my End The War In Iraq has been up for 3 weeks. At the start of this horrible war I had 4 antiwar signs stolen in about 2 weeks.

I guess the neighbors have become more tolerant? Or realize the Iraq war is a fucking disaster?

Bring the Troops Home Now

Two for Strickland...

Two against the constitutional amendment to ban smoking...
