Andrew Sullivan: vote Dem or "it's going to be scarier and scarier"
Sullivan, on Bill Maher's Real Time:

I'm speaking now as a conservative, okay, as a conservative. If these people don't vote Democrat or abstain to stop the abuse of power in Washington they deserve the government they're going to get, and it's going to be scarier and scarier.

Hey, the liberal light is always on at the Vast Left-Wing Conspiracy. Please stop by and say "hi!"

1. I saw that too.
Out of all the con's out there he's the one that seems the most reasonable.

3. I was at a rally yesterday
and Bill Clinton spoke. He said that the Democrats are now the progressive and the conservative party. Very astute statement, there is no where else for the conservatives to go, their party has abandoned them. This election is about more than the dems winning, it's about preserving our country.

4. Funny, it looks like he won't even call himself a Republican anymore.
Another good sign.

9. Not too long ago he was a big Bush supporter....
it's amazing how many conservative Republicans don't even know about the neoconservative agenda.

6. from Sullivan's blog...
The only response is for the public to send a message this fall. In congressional races, your decision should always take into account the quality of the individual candidates. But this November, the stakes are higher. If this Republican party maintains control of all branches of government, the danger to individual liberty is extremely grave. Put aside all your concerns about the Democratic leadership. What matters now is that this juggernaut against individual liberty and constitutional rights be stopped. The court has failed to stop it; the legislature has failed to stop it; only the voters can stop it now. If they don't, they will at least have been warned.

7. Good for him!
It sounds as though even some on the right are waking up to how truly evil Bush and Cheney are.

8. He is genuine in his disgust for the current gang in office.
I know some people are remembering Sullivan at his worst, but I believe him now and applaud him not being afraid to step up and call it. He framed what this election is really about.
