Just caught a new Webb (VA) ad--it was great!
Edited on Tue Oct-24-06 08:03 AM by spooky3
The voiceover notes that Felix Jr. voted with Bush 96% of the time.

Webb FINALLY touts his decorated vet service (he has opposed making an issue of it previously, which I think was a mistake).

I hope Webb is getting some of that Ohio money that Sherrod Brown's great showing in the polls could free up to be reallocated since the Rethugs gave up on that race.

1. Go Webb!!!!
As I understand it boatloads of money are going into this race on both sides, it could be the swing state for the Senate.

If voter turnout is high in NOVA, Felix is toast.

The nutjobs in Richmond are helping out by pissing of the people of Fairfax County more and more on a daily basis.

3. No kidding.
If I were Webb, I'd have trucks on I-66 with ads on them blaming Allen and Republicans for not paying any attention to the needs of NOVA, particularly the traffic problems.

2. I know I'm posting this everywhere, but volunteer if you can Spooky
I know you might be doing that already. If you are shy data entry at the campain office is pretty simple. That's what I'm doing. Some people phone bank from home. Not much time left. Glad Webb has a great ad!

6. I'm doing a get out the vote canvass this weekend...
in my neighborhood. At this point, it's important to get ALL Democrats to the booth on November 7th.

Independents too, since they are swinging two to one for the Democrats!!!!

:kick:

11. thanks, my contributions have been financial
because I can spare the money but not the time and am not comfortable calling people.

Thanks for all you are doing.

4. Sorry to see
that the latest poll has Allen up 47-43. But have you noticed the big Allen flip-flop? Suddenly he's major buddies with John Warner and shares Warner's opinion on the war.

7. Margin of error is 4 points in most polls...
I think it will either be a barn burner or Webb will kick his ass. Heavy turnouts in Richmond and Northern Virginia will be a big factor. I'm interested to see what the military folks in the Hampton Roads area do, they could be a silent spoiler for Felix.

5. Yes, can't wait to see that one! n/t

On Edit: Don't lose hope - 47 to 43 (Allen to Webb) is BARELY outside the + or - 3 point margin of error.

Webb can WIN!

Everyone in VA ---> VOTE on November 7th!

8. I was it too -- it was a DSCC ad
For some reason, Webb doesn't want to toot his own horn for his military service. Someone should remind him where that got George McGovern... but ultimately, he has to do what he thinks is right. Doesn't mean Chuck Schumer can't toot it for him.

9. I think that is a winning strategy for Democrats...
Tie the Repubs so close to Bush that they cannot escape responsibility.
