| 6 years of absolute power, ALL they can run on is FEAR and SWIFTBOATING |
|
think about that for a moment, they are not referring to their own record or their list of accomplishments. The only things they CAN point to that they have accomplished are wildly unpopular: record deficit, catastrophic wars, outsourced jobs, foundering economy.
So, what have they done with absolute power? Well, we can see the old proverb is correct: Absolute power corrupts absolutely -- Abrahamoff, Ney, Cunningham, Delay, Santorum, Hastert, Foley, Reynolds, and the list goes on and on. Instead of USING absolute power to landmark the US into a golden age...they have lined their pockets and eyed the hip pockets of teenagers.
so, the "mastermind" Rove turns out to be a one trick pony: fear and swiftboating. And when it doesn't work anymore...they don't change strategies.
This is referred to in standup comedy as "failing to gauge the temperature of the room". Even the faithful aren't buying it anymore.
and the republicans whose jobs are on the line are getting more desperate, more shrill, more obvious and more transparent that they really have nothing.
regardless of how this election turns out, I think the american people are seeing clearly what is shine and what is shinola, and just how much sh!t is involved here.
and that's a GOOD thing.

| 5. yeah, really. If this was high school debate class, they'd fail. |
|
and probably be kicked out from ever debating again.
