Bill Clinton Coming to Miami to Raise Money for Jim Davis/Daryl Jones!

The Other Clinton Coming to Miami

Democrats are bringing some of their own star-power to Miami, as Bill Clinton is the guest of honor at a Davis and Jones private fundraiser this Friday night.

The entry fee competes with those of recent Republican fundraisers -- $5,000 a head.

Hillary Clinton was in town just last week.

1. I hope he spreads the love in Connecticut.
Lamont could use a boost and some cash.

3. Meh... I hope Lamont wins and all, but...
When it comes to Senate races, I'd just as soon see us concentrating fundraising dollars on Missouri,Tennessee, Virginia and maybe New Jersey.

After all, even if we lose in Connecticut, the GOP still loses.

4. I wish we could fund them all fully.
I am so amazed at the races particularly Jim Webb and Harold Ford are running in the heart of a once red state stronghold. Makes me proud to be a Democrat.

5. "I wish we could fund them all fully." -- A-freakin'-men!
Of course, the Democrats always have a fundraising disadvantage in comparison with the Republicans. As I've said before, when you're the party of corporate greedheads and religio-crazy fundie megachurches, the money flows.

6. Davis is running for Governor in FL and gets to appoint the Sec. of State.
We need a Democratic governor in Florida, as the Republicans have controlled all three branches with Jeb at the helm, just like George W. This is particularly important with the presidential election around the corner.

9. I agree ... my post said "when it comes to Senate races..."
I perfectly agree that Florida needs a Democratic governor (note that I also live in Florida, and so I'm well aware of our problems with the previous sec. of state), but I don't see how my post was saying that we don't. I'm a little confused, I guess, about your post.

2. Clinton
Did anyone else watching his speech today see that they cut away and edited what parts of it were seen? I hope that C-Span will rerun it at some time. I've watched the ACLU meeting a number of times, just to take it all in.

11. Good news
Davis needs all the help he can get.

I just wish they wouldn't write off North Florida. It's Davis who? around here.

Former and wannabe first ladies headed north

Who said the Jim Davis campaign is ignoring North Florida?

Tomorrow, Davis' wife, Peggy, and former first lady Adele Graham will make stops in Pensacola, Panama City and St. Augustine. Along the way, they will discuss issues facing schools and child care. Full itinerary in comments.

The candidate is hitting North Florida this week as well. He was in Pensacola and Panama City on Tuesday and today is making stops in Gainesville and Jacksonville.
