Santorum, Casey Clash in Debate
Sen. Rick Santorum and Democratic challenger Bob Casey bickered about everything from the incumbent's residency to immigration in a contentious debate Thursday that was their first in Pennsylvania.

"Don't be a desperate campaigner," Casey, the state treasurer, told Santorum.

(snip)
Santorum, who has trailed Casey in polls for months in one of the nation's most competitive Senate races, had to defend himself as the debate opened with a question about his decision to keep a home in a Washington suburb where he primarily lives with his wife and six children.

"If this race comes down to who's working harder and who does their job better, mine as state treasurer, his as a U.S. senator, I'll win that battle," Casey said.

1. It was arguementive and bickery
but Sacktorum came out like a cornered rabid wolverine. He looked like the bully that he is, I just couldn't believe what I was seeing. Casey handled it with composure, he humored Sacktorum and it was clearly making him more infuriated. He almost seemed like he was going jump on top of him, he was that confrontational, and Bob just wouldn't be baited. It was by far the most entertaining Sen debate I've seen so far. Another thing to note was the repetitive talking point 'he doesn't answer the question', and I noticed the callers afterward who supported Sacktorum parroted the same talking point.

Let me just say I eagerly look forward to Bob Casey representing my state. :)
