Rove involved in Foley cover-up.
Talking Points Memo:

(October 12, 2006 -- 09:29 AM EDT)

We've known for a while that the House leadership leaned on Mark Foley to run for one more term in Congress before cashing in and becoming a lobbyist -- even if that meant keeping the House pages on their toes for two more years avoiding the F-man's constant advances. But apparently they weren't the only one. It now seems that Karl Rove also got into the act and threatened Foley's future lobbying career if he didn't stick it out in Congress for two more years.

Did Bush know?

2. And we all know that what Rove knew - Bush knew.
Rove and Bush have been political strategists together for pver 30 years - they share all strategy when it comes to politics. Bush has always been about winning POLITICALLY and NEVER about GOVERNING or policymaking.

3. Bush doesn't know what day of the week it is.
Bush doesn't give a fuck about that shit. Why would anyone tell him? This gets better and better for us. Everyone now knows that Rove is a guilty sonofabitch. People are going to trust the GOP even less after this.

6. well, so far, this is 'hearsay"

From the Plank:

....But when Foley's friend saw the Congressman again this spring, something had changed. To the source's surprise, Foley told him he would indeed be standing for re-election. What happened? Karl Rove intervened.

According to the source, Foley said he was being pressured by "the White House and Rove gang," who insisted that Foley run. If he didn't, Foley was told, it might impact his lobbying career.

"He said, 'The White House made it very clear I have to run,'" explains Foley's friend, adding that Foley told him that the White House promised that if Foley served for two more years it would "enhance his success" as a lobbyist. "I said, 'I thought you wanted out of this?' And he said, 'I do, but they're scared of losing the House and the thought of two years of Congressional hearings, so I have two more years of duty.'"

The White House declined a request for comment on the matter, but obviously the plan hasn't worked out quite as Rove hoped it would.

8. Did they know they would throw Foley out of the bus?
Is that why they kept him on?

10. How does this show Rove involved in cover up?
It shows Rove wanted Foley to run, presumably because it would mean one less seat to defend. But beyond that?

And then we'll at last discover the boys and dysfunction long-hidden under *Rove's* bed. My ped-dar's been going off a lonnnnnnnng time about THAT guy.

The Daily Show as a comic strip

I am willing to bet you Rove is a pedo. Somehow those chunky, pallid, sunless cave-worm looking Porky Pig types with balding heads, tiny mouths and tiny hands and fingers always are. We'll probably also find out Jeff Gannon held his nose and would service the unserviceable, if you catch my meaning. That's why he was rewarded with such a plum nonposition.

Flip over Rove's bed and watch the boys scatter like cockroaches! KRLT(baby)C!
