So, in order to impeach, do you just need a simple majority in both houses
or do you need some kind of super-majority? I hope it's the former.

2. Impeachment = indictment.
For impeachment, the one needs a majority in the House. For conviction and removal from office, the House Managers need a 2/3 majority in the Senate.

3. Well, let's hope for a senatorial miracle.
That is, unless after the election, you can persuade 17 Republicans to vote to convict.

4. With 2 years to go, they won't waste their time.
All we would get for the effort even if successful would be President Cheney.

6. Impeachment is discretionary.
The House is not required to do it.

9. Do 'em both at the same time.
While you're at it, you might throw in the majority of the cabinet, along with a couple of Supreme Court Justices. Maybe you can get the bulk rate.

11. If theoretically you did them both, ...
...Nancy Pelosi would be next in line. I guess I could live with that. Doesn't matter though. We don't have the votes or the time. By the time the Senate would vote on it, the two years would be about up.
