Real Photo of Jebbie Shown the Closet - Cut and Run from Protestors
Edited on Mon Oct-09-06 04:36 PM by RamboLiberal
Gov. Jeb Bush (FL) is shown the closet by Pittsburgh Port Authority Police as he attempts to escape the boos and jeers of activists en route to a fundraiser for Senator Rick Santorum (PA).

On Friday, October 6, Gov. Jeb Bush (FL) was shown the closet by Pittsburgh Port Authority Police as he attempted to escape the boos and jeers of activists en route to a fundraiser for Senator Rick Santorum (PA). Bush was a scheduled speaker at the fundraiser.

The incident with Gov. Bush occurred during an impromptu march organized by several United Steelworkers staffers. As the march proceeded towards the Duquesne Club--the site for the fundraiser--Jeb Bush was spotted and a small group rushed across the street to confront him. The group yelled and chanted and got in his face. Bush was accompanied by one security guard and an aide.

After activists angrily dogged Bush for about a block, Bush's security guard escorted him into a nearby T-station. The group of about 15-20 trailed Bush and company down the escalator, where they were greeted by several port authority police. The police eventually spirited Bush into what appeared to be a utility closet. They tazed (using the stun gun setting) one person in the torso and another in the hand. There were no arrests.

48. Not a problem!
I considered citing Churchill's famous comeback on this topic, but then I remembered this little jewel and offer it instead.

If you really insist that English sentences aren't supposed to end with prepositions, you're going to have to give me an alternative version of this child's complaint to his mother on her choice of reading material,

"Aw, mum, what did you bring the book I don't like to be read to out of up for?"

17. Yes he did - here's original story
Protesters said Gov. Bush blew them a kiss, acknowledging the crowd of about 30 chanting pickets that was made up of United Steelworkers and members of Uprise Counter Recruitment, a tour traveling through 22 cities to support anti-war efforts.

The protesters came closer.

"Jeb, go home," they shouted.

Mr. Bush, accompanied by a security guard and a female aide, made a slow retreat toward the T-station at Wood Street.

"He was quickly getting out of the way and not wanting to engage us," said Jon Vandenburgh, one of the protesters, who also is a researcher for the United Steelworkers.

35. Here's a couple of first person accounts from protestors
JON VANDENBURGH: Sure, Amy, and thanks for having me today. Basically, the protest happened. We found out a couple of days in advance that there would be a fundraiser at the Duquesne Club in Pittsburgh that Jeb Bush would be attending. We decided we would gather a crowd of union members, not just steelworkers, but people from the Transit Workers Union and SEIU and other unions, in the lobby of the Steelworkers Building, which is a few blocks from the Duquesne Club, and march over to the site of the fundraiser. And then, along the way, we sort of fortuitously came across Jeb Bush on a street corner. Somebody said, "Hey, there he is!" And he was just across the street from us, and so we started chanting and yelling at him from across the street. And it seemed that there was going to be this where we were on one side of the street and he was on the other.

And then he blew us a kiss, and that seemed to sort of trigger an anger in our crowd of demonstrators, that then sort of sparked us to head out into traffic and cross the street and start making our way towards him. So he pretty quickly, I think, changed his mind about whether or not he wanted to engage with the crowd, and I wouldn't call it a trot necessarily, but he certainly was uncomfortably moving down the sidewalk with his aides sort of flanking him in the rear, and we were right on his heels. And a couple of members of our group, in fact, were maybe getting in front of him and getting in his face.

And he ducked into a subway station, like you described in the introduction. And we had him pinned up against the wall, really, chanting with signs, a crowd -- I think of about 30 or 40 of us actually went down into this subway station in Pittsburgh and had him pinned against the wall with his staff in a corner, chanting at him. You know, there was certainly no violence on our part, but we were very close and very loud and letting him know in no uncertain terms how we felt about him being in Pittsburgh.

And then, the police showed up and had a key that unlocked a supply closet. And a couple of members of our group got tasered, and they were just about ready to unveil the pepper spray and German shepherds, when we decided, I think, collectively that we would get out of there.

Secret Service protection is of course mandatory for a sitting President or (p)Resident, whatever the case may be. This extends to his or her spouse and children under 21 (unless deemed a necessity). No SS protection is offered to siblings, or grown children of previous POTUS.

"Mom! Tom Cruise won't come out of the closet!!"

This is just perfect symbolism for the Florida GOP specifically, and the national GOP generally. They're all so worried about what consenting adults do without shame, as they cower in the closet, too afraid to be grownups who engage in SEX.

This picture has captured in an image the whole GOP swamp rot.

56. Freeper Nutjob's Take on this:
To: Sub-Driver
Just more evidence that the left are deliberately and with malace provoking a "civil war".
IMO, they are doing this because they know that their time is limited. Conservatives are growing more little conservatives while the left is either aborting their offspring, or just not having any. Children requires a huge commitment of time and money. Damned inconvienient, are children.....and one of the basic tenents of the left is that they shy away of commitments of any kind....physical or spiritual.

God is dead, or does not exist....fetuses are just cells out of control, like cancer....do what feels good....there are no absolutes...blah blah blah...

If a war with conservatives is what the left wants....count me in....I am weary of their B.S. and I absolutely refuse to live in a society where there is a shortage of everything, except misery.
