Parents of Foley's Victim?
What I want to know is, when the page told Rep. Alexander and his parents about this unwanted attention from Foley, why didn't the parents pursue it? I don't have kids, but if I did and they got creepy IMs from a much older person, I would want that guy's head on a platter! Were they such good Repugs that they kept it quiet for the team? Were they worried about their son's identity coming out? Or, were they paid off to keep quiet?

And where does Alexander fit into all of this? If I was this guy's opponent, I'd start slamming him for protecting a pedophile!

4. sce56> Call boys took midnight tour of white House,
On the morning of June 29, 1989, pandemonium erupted in the corridors of power in the nation's capital. ``Homosexual Prostitution Probe Ensnares Official of Bush, Reagan,'' screamed the front-page headline of the Washington Times with the kicker ``Call Boys Took Midnight Tour of White House.''

The Times reported, ``A homosexual prostitution ring is under investigation by federal and District authorities and includes among its clients key officials of the Reagan and Bush administrations, military officers, congressional aides and U.S. and foreign businessmen with close ties to Washington's political elite.''

2. How about the media frenzy?
This family does not deserve to be thrust into the chaotic frenzy of media attention that would ensue from this. I'm sure that they were thinking of precisely this when they kept quiet. That this plays into the Repuke hand, was either secondary, or totally unconsidered.

Now I feel for this family because they are now going to suffer from this.

3. Precisely, and it isn't so easy for kids to come forward, either.
Leave the family and the victim, alone.

6. it probably went like this
Mr and Mrs. Smith - you wouldn't want your kid's name draggged through the mud would you. I mean, a few of the replies he sent could give poeple the impression that he might be, you know, gay or something. What do you think his last couple of years in high school will be like if all his peers think he's, well, queer?

And what about those college admission letters of recommendation. I know you are amitious for your son, otherwise he wouldn't be a Congressional page in the first place. Nobody wants a black mark on this young man's reputation that will interfere with his admission to harvard, right?

Jones Sentenced In Giordano Case October 17, 2003
By LYNNE TUOHY The Hartford Courant BRIDGEPORT

-- Guitana "GiGi" Jones was sentenced this morning to 10 years in prison for allowing former Waterbury Mayor Philip A. Giordano to force himself sexually on her grammar school-aged daughter and niece. U.S. District Judge Alan H. Nevas lauded Jones' cooperation in the case against Giordano, who was convicted in March. But, Nevas said, what Jones had done as a mother was unspeakable. Jones will receive 15 percent credit for good behavior and credit for about 27 months already served

11. THIS COULD BE A LAW SUIT AGAINST THE REPUBLICAN PARTY!!!!!
Edited on Sat Sep-30-06 06:10 PM by 133724
If these morons covered up this the parents could sue the repubican party for their failure to report this to the appropriat authoritarity. I don't know about the law in DC but in the OTHER Washington it would be illegal..... People in authority are required to report crimes of this sort....

Send everyone who knew
about this to jail...

13. I don't blame the parents or the kid
The three of them are victims in this matter and I think it's wrong to second-guess them for the choices they made.

15. Important - the long, juicy IM exchange on ABC's site was from *2003*!
The kid who was Alexander's page was the one that prompted Alexander to notify House leadership *last year* about Foley's inappropriateness. I think that this kid's email exchanges were tamer stuff - the ones about a birthday gift, etc. -at least as far as has been revealed so far.

Foley apparently has a LONG reputation in DC of seeking out sex with young boys.
