Smear Campaign Backfiring--Bernie Sanders lead 66% to 27%

"A new poll of Vermont voters confirms that Congressman Bernie Sanders maintains an overwhelming lead over Republican Rich Tarrant by a margin of 66 to 27 in the senate race for Vermont"-snip-

Vermonters are rightly appalled by Rich Tarrant’s dishonest smear tactics and their support for Congressman Bernie Sanders remains very, very strong. --Tarrant has run the ugliest, most revolting ads ever seen in the area, witch might actually make him lose support and really piss others off. Some of the ads insinuate that Sanders is pro child sex abuse, against amber alert and would make Vermont a drug haven for godless hippies like Willie Nelson.

Republicans plan to spend 90% of their money on negative ads this year, said one GOP spokesperson.

1. Tarrant`s putrid ads

are running nearly non-stop here in Vermont. Our campaign season is usually quite civil, but not this time around. Apparently voters aren`t buying Tarrant`s smears.

started out with his soft focus hollywood style serial bio ads and then turned hard right and started showing the most blatant and disgusting attack ads ever seen in the state. I really loathe that Bentley driving, 300 a dollar bottle of scotch drinking, Floridia home owning, puke.

5. Tarrant's campaign ads have been smarmy from the start.

They started with a folksy "Vamontah" voice guy telling how Rich became the successful 'puke he claims to be, then slowly morphed into Rovian smears of Bernie. Mr. Tarrant might just as well have thrown his 10 million bucks out the car window (preferably near my house, just over the border in New Hampshire).

6. Vermonters know Bernie very well

And even those who disagree with him respect him. I think Bernie will win this race in a landslide. The negative smear ads will do nothing except show what a disgusting low-life puke Tarrant is.
