Was this too mean?
My response to an irritating Freeper who was horribly misinformed, did nothing but spout GOP talkin' points and was just beggin' for a slap-down.

"Perhaps someday you'll reach for the remote, turn off Faux News and -- here's where I'm reaching -- move out of that quaint little double wide you call home. Until then, you're just a pathetic, ignorant bushbot who's very good at parroting GOP talking points, but little else.

If Clinton is to blame for 9/11 (when bush had been in office for less than a year), then bush's Papa must be to blame for the 1993 bombings, yes? I mean, Clinton was in office for only a year when that happened, right? I know, honey, it's hard twisting these facts around that kool-aid saturated "brain" of yours, but try turning down o'leilly or limbaugh and it'll be easier ... perhaps.

And let's not forget, with McVeigh and the Kansas City bombings, that Clinton actually brough a terrorist to justice instead of arranging to have his family flown out of the country and to Saudi Arabia (the country actually behind the 9/11 attacks, just in case you didn't know) in a private jet on 9/11 like Little Lord Prissy Pants did with his business pals the bin Ladens.

Okay, you can go and have a doughnut now."

Did I go too far, DUers?

4. No ... Derision is the only way to handle the ignorant, arrogant, kool
aid drinkers. Don't second guess yourself. You did well.

6. I've never, ever
done this to a complete stranger before. But her blatant lies about Clinton just infuriated me! Add to that the multiple typos, the grammatical mistakes and the slavish buttkissing of Our Dear Leader (or is that Deer Leader?), and I just had to do something! And, for the record, there's nothing wrong with double-wides and I enjoy the occasional (okay, the rare) Krispy Kreme here in NYC.

7. I generally don't think you can be too mean to these guys..BUT...
The mobile home reference comes across as petty and classist to me. Having myself had to live for a number of years in a mobile, and never being too far away from being back to those bad old economic days, I may be a little sensitive to such comments. May as well joked about having to live in that old 72 Gran Torino. Either way, it has little to do with one's political persuasion, despite the trailer trash stereotype. There are also elderly people on fixed incomes there, and average blue collar joes just trying to eke out a living.

Otherwise, beat the hell out of them any way you want, but, for what it's worth, don't assume that everyone who lives on a low income is a 'moran'.

Just my $.02! :-)

10. Nobody's getting screwed in this economy like trailor dwellers
They can't get financing to save their lives, and a lot of greedy landlords evict them way too quickly. I just left a singlewide myself and moved into my first home without wheels.

The "doublewide" remark was just a smidge over the line, but hardly compares to the mass murder and Constitutional erosions the Bush-hogs condone.

News and commentary, left to right

8. Maybe not mean enough.
And just one factual point: The first World Trade Center bombing occurred in February of 1993, which was only a month, not a year, after Clinton took office. So of course it was Poppy's fault! The arrests, trials and convictions of the perpetrators, however, were accomplished by Clinton's Justice Department.

9. McVeigh
Also, McVeigh's crime occured in Oklahoma City, not KC.

11. My Mother
actually passed away in a double-wide, so, despite my petty reference to it, I don't consider myself classist or whatever. I think it was a testament to my anger that I even wrote such a thing.

Having said that, though, it really is nothing compared to what they often call us. Not that that excuses it, but ... I'm just saying.

Thanks for the corrections on McVeigh and the 1993 bombings. I wasn't sure and didn't want to interrupt my adrenaline to go and check.

12. That would be the 1995 bombing.
And really...it's worth interrupting your adrenaline to go check your facts.

One of the great problems with freepers is they are so busy spouting off adrenaline that they don't let themselves worry about anything like "facts." Please, let us not use them as our example. :scared:

You actually expected him to know words like pathetic, parroting, saturated, prissy?

14. Excellent, but the Trade Center bombing in 1993 happened
one MONTH into President Clinton's first term.
