I tell you, the more I use Inkscape, the more I like it. It getting to be one of my favorite open source projects. I do the resizing and mode change (if needed) and conversion to a gif in Photoshop because it's so convenient for me. The actual creation of the poster is in Inkscape. It really does text well and composition and resizing is a snap.
