Bush: 'We're not leaving so long as I'm president'

RAW STORY
Published: Monday August 21, 2006

http://www.rawstory.com/news/2006/Bush_calls_Lebanon_ai...

US President George W. Bush has announced that the United States will not be leaving Iraq during his presidency, RAW STORY has learned. "Either you say, 'Yes its important we stay there and get it done,' or we leave," Bush argued. "Were not leaving so long as Im the president. That would be a huge mistake."

At a news conference today, Bush also conceded that Iraq had no weapons of mass destruction.

Bush opened his remarks at 10 AM, announcing that the nation would be offering $230 million in aid to Lebanon. The president also called for fast deployment of an international peacekeeping force. Late in the conference, when asked what Iraq's role was in the World Trade Center attacks, the president said, "Nothing."

But he went on to suggest that by overthrowing Saddam Hussein's regime, the United States could forestall future acts of terrorism by defeating resentment with hope, "and the best way to do hope is through a form of government."

1. No WMD's no connection to 9/11, you mean we went to war to
give people a form of government they don't want and an occupation they don't want. Dead soldiers ghosts are going to haunt the White House.

2. Of course we're not leaving as long as you're squatting in the White House
That would mean dealing with the consequences, you nitwit. You've already said it's going to be somebody else's problem.

10. I saw it, too, and was totally blown away!
I've never owned a DVD before, but I'm going to buy that one.

That pic just says it all, though, how Johnny's love for June kept burning in his heart all those years, for the rest of his life. What courage, to propose in front of all those people.

"You're my best friend ..."

4. Wonder what he means by "Get it done"?
What has to be "done"? We went to Iraq, bombed the crap out of their country, killed tens of thousands of their people, ruined their infrastructure and made the conditions ripe for civil war.

What is it that the idiot-in-chief still wants to do?

7. It's just more fake cowboy talk.
Or maybe fake Cable Guy talk.

"GIT-R-DONE!!!"

It's the 2006 variant of "Wanted Dead or Alive," "They can run but they can't hide," and "We'll smoke them out of their caves."

He means business, and he wants you to know that. No idea what the business actually is, but hey...HE is the DECIDER. He'll decide what gets done.

Anyone remember what life was like before this jackalope built a nest in the Oval Office?
