Wannabe Frist Replacement Sued for Profiting Off Environmental Crime
Bob Corker, the GOP nominee for Bill Frist's senate seat, is being sued for turning a wooded nature preserve into Wal-Mart's trashy backyard and profiting off the deal. During his term as Mayor of Chattanooga, Corker's real estate company collected $4.7 million off the deal!

And they call Corker 'a self-made millionaire.' The jury's still out, but Tennessee tax-payers may have helped Corker accumulate some of those millions.

Once again, we are forced to ask: What is it about the Republican Party that attracts hordes of greedy and unprincipled candidates? Oh, I forgot, the GOP is The-World-Revolves-Around-my-Wallet Party.

Corker's opponent, Rep. Harold Ford, Jr. (D-TN) recently "cut Bob Corkers (R) lead in half, according to a new Rasmussen Reports poll."

We can hardly wait to see the next poll.

1. Corker paved paradise and put up a ...Wal-Mart, while making millions
He is a perfect neocon. I wonder if Corker will sell off the Great Smokie National Forest next. He could make billions.

2. Wonder if this is getting play in the East Tennessee newspapers
That's where we need to cut his lead.

The formula to win the state is (for a Democrat): win the west, win the middle and pull enough votes out of the Republican east to bring you over the top.

3. So this can be the new litmus test.
If they profitted from their positions at a local level, they don't deserve to represent us at a national level.
