pssssh "Strong On Defense Democrats"
Edited on Sat Aug-19-06 09:49 PM by Superman Returns
Don't you just love it when these so called moderate Democrats boast that they are "Strong On Defense Democrats" How many times have we heard people like Joe Lieberman trumpeting the notion that they are being persecuted because they are pro-defense? How many times have we heard the DLC ilk say that pro-defense Dems should have a place in the party. Doesn't it imply that Democrats by default are WEAK on defense? You know what even pisses me off more? That you can only be strong on defense if you support the war in Iraq even if it was a diversion from the real War on Terror. Sure we waisted billions on destroying a country only to rebuild it despite the fact that not one Iraqi has had anything to with these apparent terrorist plots. Bin Laden still remains missing. There are terrorist cells all around the globe, even in our own country. And guess what, none of them were operating in Iraq, atleast before the invasion. I think any Democrat who uses this phrase is an unloyal Democrat because he or she is distancing themselves from the party and insinuaiting that Democrats can't be trusted on national security.

1. Strong on defense? Did Joe serve in the military? Does he know
what the fuck he's talking about? I think its time to stop defending this war and start apologizing to all the people that this war has effected. Maybe a sincere apology from the USA would go a long way in smoothing some wrinkles.
