Poll question: A poll on loyalty
Here ya go, boys and girls. A poll to see how loyal you are to your 04 dreamboat.

Let's keep this simple and flame-free.

NO NAMES ALLOWED

The question is real simple ...... Yes or No: Do you continue to support for 08 whoever it was you supported in the 04 primaries?

To make it at least a bit interesting, tell us why - but without naming or using obvious references to your guy.

"I still support those four stars" is a non-starter.

"Because he blew it in the general election" is also a non-starter, as is "He just got married".

"He sucks, and "He rocks" are okay.

1. I still support my guy.
Because he truly understands what needs to be done both at home and abroad and can get those things done.

2. There is no reason to support a candidate who said he would
...fight for every vote before the election, raised millions of dollars in support of the promise, then threw in the towel on the morning following the election. It won't work with me a second time, new blood is what the democratic party needs now.

6. But.. but... but...
if it was worded..

"Do you still support the INITIAL candidate you chose, even if he wasn't ultimately the nominee"

or

"Do you still support the nominee in 2004"

You'd get a lot of different answers.

Betcha 70-80% (or more) of us had "initial" choices who weren't the eventual nominee...

As stated in the OP: "Yes or No: Do you continue to support for 08 whoever it was you supported in the 04 primaries?"

Same thing for the one that ran in 2000.

Although both of them are doing a lot of good in their own way.

My #2 and #3 are going to run. I hope they get together assuming Gore doesn't run.

18. I supported Noone in the 04 Primaries
My view in 04 was I would go to the wall supporting ANYONE we ran to take down BushCo.
I would like to think my view in 08 can be more optimistic but time will tell on that one.
Right now my take is, give me a candidate and let me get to work.

20. Other, 'cause
it's too difficult for me to determine who I supported in '04! I held out for Gore until he announced he wasn't running, donated to Edwards in the primary, volunteered for Kerry in the primary (and eventually volunteered for and donated to him in the general), and voted for Kucinich in the primary (and Kerry/Edwards in the general election). So it's tough to say exactly who I supported; though I'd probably say Edwards overall. And in terms of '08, my favorites are Gore, Edwards, and Feingold, so in a way I'm sticking with my favored candidate(s) from '04, but still open to another possibility.

I've always been more political than most people my age, but I couldn't seem to decide between all of them.

28. Definition of "other"
I voted ABB - for the last time I voted not for beliefs but out of anger.

Did I like Kerry? Not at all. Dean would make a good eminence gris. Kucinich was closer to my beliefs but he's unelectable.

I'm waiting and watching this time around but I am NOT sanguine.

29. No, because this is an open race, not vs. an incumbent
My '04 choice could have pulled from the center, vital in ousting an incumbent.

The '08 choice, IMO, has the most logical path to 270+ electoral votes.
