Remark by GOPer Inspires LttE About B*sh's Recent Visit
Another disaffected Repub voter, in regards to B*sh's visit to my area last week:

-----

Republican staffer needs to think before speaking

To the editor:
I was shocked when I wanted to get information on our president’s visit to the Mission area. The chamber had no information and told me to call City Hall. No info there either, as the person to talk to was behind closed doors. I called the Hidalgo Republican headquarters and talked with a woman, and was shocked to hear her response to my inquiry.

“The visit from our President is not open to the public. There would be too many

protesters. The liberals and the communists want to kill him. Didn’t I know about Hillary?”

“Why do they want to kill him?” I asked.

“Because he is Godly.”

“Are you saying Hillary is not Godly?”

No answer.

This is the voice of the Hidalgo County Republican Headquarters? It’s what I call the Bush Gut Instinct response: Act before thinking. God help the USA and all of us.

I have voted Republican 11 of the 13 times that I have been eligible to vote. I must say, I’m ashamed that this woman is a voice for the Republican party.

Loren Clevenger,
Mission

1. The sad part is that Ms. Clevenger is only now realizing...
how batshit insane her comrades are. I would hope that a reasonable individual should've picked this out at least by March 2003, if not before.

3. The sad part is that people are so overworked and overstimulated...
...by Corporate America that they don't have the time or the wits to notice things like this.

2. (Funny) thing I heard yesterday on NPR
on Prairie Home Companion, a visit to the Minnesota state fair. The narrator said he saw a woman with a bush cheney t-shirt. The message on the shirt was "God has chosen the republican party, why haven't you." They are sad, pathetic, occasionally dangerous people.

6. She must have read Ann Coulter's latest book
That's precisely why Coulter is dangerous, and not just mean.

8. Was the visit a part of Chimpy's 'get out and meet the people' dog
and pony show?

9. It was a photo-op with John Cornyn
about "border security." Basically, swing down to the border towns and posture a bit about keeping out "them Messkins," while hoping like hell they don't offend any more Hispanic voters. It was done at a local wildlife park, without the public (who don't for the most part approve of this whole measure).

11. Liberals and communists want to kill Bush?
You'd think that with all this extra dough we're spending on homeland security and snooping through people's private papers and lives, the Bush administration might come up with just one liberal or just one communist (communist?!) who has designs on Bush's life.

They just open their mouths, and the lies come tumbling out. It's like they can't help themselves. One little question (Are you saying Hillary is not Godly) and the bullshit train stops like it was derailed.
