3. How?
What is the power behind the DNC leadership, the group that attracts most funds?

But that's besides the point. The areas that the GOP have taken advantage of are amonst those that are the battleflags of the DLC.

6. Meanwhile the GOP was discovered using the far left this week
Edited on Sun Aug-06-06 09:35 AM by MrBenchley
As you might recall, the Green party, whose adherents have been wailing and rending their garments for lo these many months here and elsewhere about how "corrupt" the "Republicrat" party has been, turn out to be a GOP-funded shell meant to perform dirty tricks (like ratfucking a Democratic forum).

And many of those here on the far left immediately launched into a furious round of spin to try to cover up the news.

8. And that's been heavily panned by the far-left on this board, too.
The thing about the left is, this: they're smart. They saw through the GOP funding the Greens and are challenging it.

So, the "far-left" didn't really get used. Just a couple of opportunists who call themselves "Green," did.

9. Where?
"The thing about the left is, this: they're smart."
No, they're dumb as a box of rocks. Want to tell us what the OP has to do with the DLC?

"They saw through the GOP funding the Greens"
They did no such thing, as a glance around the board indicates. They've spent the past week trying desperately to shout down the news or spin it away.

and the far left desperately trying to spin the news away, just as I said.

"And you're "dumb as a box of rocks" comment is un-called for."
Really? Want to tell us what Reid, Kennedy and Durbin have to do with the DLC?

12. Mine safety?
S. 2803, signed into law as Public Law 109-236, requires operators of underground coal mines to improve accident preparedness. The legislation requires mining companies to develop an emergency response plan specific to each mine they operate, and requires that every mine have at least two rescue teams located within one hour. This act also limits the legal liability of rescue team members and the companies that employ them. It increases both civil and criminal penalties for violations of federal mining safety standards and gives the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) the ability to temporarily close a mine that fails to pay the penalties or fines. In addition, the law requires several studies into ways to enhance mine safety, as well as the establishment of a new office within the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health devoted to improving mine safety. Finally, the law establishes new scholarship and grant programs devoted to training individuals with respect to mine safety.

what's wrong with this-if I was a sitting member of Congress, I would have certainly voted for it
