"The Last Plantation" -- Racism among the DC Capitol Hill police

This is going to upset McKinney's detractors maybe even more than did American Blackout.

1. Greg Palast is a strong supporter of McKinney
He doesn't like seeing people get Diebolded as happend in 2002 and as happened in McKinney's primary earlier this year. She needs a landslide to avoid being Diebolded again. If she gets less than 60% of the votes, they'll probably switch the votes. They keep getting away with it and the Democrats keep letting them. No real Democrat would vote for a guy who is a front for landfill polluters and the Republican Party.

2. No real Democrat would vote for a woman who...
...takes campaign contributions from people with ties to terrorists.

and the video?

...say four African American Capitol Officers...said one officer in the video...said the officer...One officer recalls...black officers heard...

Disguised, voice- altered silouettes...

And the Diebold? I like what liberal columnist Jay Bookman had to say:

http://www.wacotrib.com/opin/content/shared/news/storie...

So, how is your favorite Republican Ron Paul doing? Given money to him this week?

3. Accusing her of terrorist support -- are you in the Boortz fanclub here?
I'm sorry, using a bunch of lies that have already been debunked is not helpin your case, except the case for racism.

6. sure. But afterwards, learn the definition of "ad hominem."
We'll start with Rafeeq Jaber president, Islamic Association for Palestine, a Hamas offshoot, who donated $1000. to the McKinney campaign in 2004.

Donation figure here: http://www.newsmeat.com/campaign_contributions_to_polit...

... and here:

Islamic Association for Palestine, a Hamas offshoot.

One source, among many, here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Islamic_Association_of_Pal...

Would you like ANOTHER example?

9. So someone connected to an organization vaguely connected to
another organization is now a terrorist?

This BS really has to stop.

I see the anti-Arab racism you are purporting might be a reason to oppose McKinney.

10. LOL! I said with "ties." But let's look at it this way...
Edited on Thu Aug-03-06 02:18 PM by wyldwolf
Group is on he State Department's list of HAMAS, and a federal judge in Chicago ruled that the IAP (along with the Holy Land Foundation) was liable for a $156 million dollar lawsuit for aiding and abetting the terror group Hamas in the death of a 17-year-old American citizen.

Donor to McKinney is president of that group.

Strong tie. Hardly vague. Spin it all you want. McKinney accepted blood money.

11. Again you're doing convoluted guilty by associations
It's not working against intelligent people. It really isn't.

Johnson's strong support by Israeli organizations including Israel's official lobby are proving far more poignant, to say the least.

Hopefully he can get 30-40 thousand Republicans to crossover and vote for him like Majette did, no?

12. dude. The Organization has been charged with terrorism.
The LEADER of the organization contributed to Mckinney. Plain as day.

If DemocraticUnderground was a terrorist group, DUs owner Skinner would have strong ties to a terrorist group.

14. Ok now you're just swapping words around
His organization has been charged with "terrorism"? First it was being in contact with a respected political party of the Arab world that is only claimed to be terrorist by the US and Israel. Now they themselves are "terrorists" and have been charged with terrorism?

You just keep getting more and more convoluted here. You can't beat someone who's into linguistics.

...is a front for HAMAS. A jury in Chicago convicted them. Their assets have been frozen by the US. They are a front for a terrorist group.

20. Johnson's low-key style seen as strength vs. McKinney
Because I never see anything about the man himself, and I detest "Anybody but _______" campaigning. If people think he's a shill, I would like to know why, and see some evidence. Without such evidence, I'm left wondering if he's considered a shill because he's running against McKinney, or worse, considered an Uncle Tom, which is an allegation that really grinds my butt to the bone unless someone can explain why they feel that way about him aside from the fact that he's running against McKinney.

Would anyone running against her be labeled as such?

And no, I don't consider evidence of who's giving him money and/or who might vote for him as evidence he's a shill. We'd have to label Nader a shill too then, and I'm not sure folks who support McKinney would favor that idea.

But anyway, here's an article about Hank Johnson.

http://atlanta.creativeloafing.com/gyrobase/Content?oid...

The fight for the 4th Congressional District

BY SCOTT HENRY

Hank Johnson doesn't exactly claim to be the anti-Cynthia. After all, the former DeKalb commissioner agrees with many of the veteran congresswoman's hot-button positions, such as that the Bush administration led the country into a disastrously unnecessary war in Iraq and has trampled on basic American rights and freedoms at home.

Rather, he's offering himself as the non-Cynthia -- similar in political slant, but worlds apart in personal style.

For a prime example, look no farther than McKinney's notorious proclamation that she was the target of racism by a Capitol policeman who stopped her at a security check point in March.

Hank wouldn't have handled it that way.

"I refuse to see racism as the reason behind every problem that I face," he says. "Racism exists in our society, but I'm beyond being victimized by it. My personal philosophy is to make friends and win over enemies."

31. Rep. McKinney
has been HARASSED by the CH security for as long as she's been there. She objected repeatedly and they targetted her. Who ya gonna believe? A white "good ol' boy" officer or this "uppity, loud, embarrassing, niggerbitch" who would DARE challenge TPTB, demanding answers on YOUR behalf?

I'm quite familiar with the instinctive hatred of intelligent black women. When WE refuse to accept the confines of white-dominated hierarchy, in whatever field, ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE from males AND females of every description.
