General Clark, in WesPAC fundraising letter: "Where's the Leadership?"
Dear (Sparkly),

Each day, we hear about the continuing violence in the Middle East. From the escalating conflict between Israel and Hezbollah to the ongoing struggle against insurgents in Iraq, I ask, "Where's the leadership?"

At home, the Republican-led Congress turns a blind eye to Bush's domestic spying program and ignores the impact of rising gas prices and health care costs, instead choosing to debate divisive wedge issues like gay marriage and flag burning in a cynical attempt to further divide our country before the November elections. And then there's President Bush using his very first veto in six years not to stop yet another terrible Republican bill passed by Congress, but instead to block passage of a long overdue stem cell research bill in order to curry favor with the radical right.

Again I ask, "Where's the leadership?"

Now, we can't get rid of this administration -- we'll get to that in two years. But right now the November elections give us an opportunity to elect real leaders to Congress who will stand up to President Bush and help get America back on the right track.

Contribute today and help me change the leadership in Washington. Provide me the resources I need to help elect real leaders to Congress this November!

It's so important for us to get people out to exercise their right to vote this November. And when they get to their polling place, we need to get them to vote for the right candidates.

That's why I was in Colorado last Wednesday, campaigning for Fighting Dem Jay Fawcett (CO-5). Then on Friday, I was in Missouri helping Claire McCaskill (MO-Sen) and speaking at the College Democrats of America National Convention to encourage young people to get out and vote. Finally, over the weekend, I attended Florida's Jefferson Jackson weekend, helping Democrats in that critical swing state raise money and get organized for the November elections.

And I'm not going to stop until Election Day in November. It is what I feel I must do -- for my family, for you, and for our country.

Please help me stay out on the road, campaigning for the candidates that will take back Congress this November. Contribute to WesPAC today!

The challenges our nation faces are great, and the damage caused by the Bush Administration and this one-party government's radical conservative agenda is too grave to just sit back and accept. We must fight to bring America back to the ideals our nation was founded upon.

That's what I'll continue to do, with your help.

Please contribute to WesPAC today -- and help me fight for a Democratic majority this November!

Sincerely,

Wes Clark

2. I especially like the way he used the word "radical" twice.
And I think it's GREAT how hard he's worked, and will continue to work, to get Democrats elected!!!

4. College Democrats of America National Convention to encourage young people

Way to go General Clark, we can't take this country back without them.

Colorado to Missouri to Florida in four or five days, now he needs to gas up to hit the road again to help Democrats in other States retake Congress. Sounds like a good investment in our future to me.

7. Good Combination
MoveOn, among other things, is helping keep the current Democrats and Congress in general "honest", and General Clark's emphasis is on turning Republican districts and States Democratic so we can retake control of Congress, although each does some of each. This November is so God damn important!

9. I'm gonna increase my donation that I make quarterly......
and I'm gonna help him fight. The man has to pay for everything he does to help candidates and/or the Democratic party. He doesn't have a personal fortune nor can he "use" a calendar to plan out to be somewhere conveniently in order to charge taxpayers and call it "Business"....nor does he have an entire group of corporate organized "backers" that are donating to his expenses at a large clip.

He encouraged his supporters to donate directly to candidates....but maybe he stressed that more than was required, at the sacrifice of his own PAC. :eyes:

All I know is that we must win in 2006....or else!

We can't go down without having fought the fight!

10. Wes Clark: Awarded a Rhodes Scholarship
to Oxford University, where he earned a Masters Degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics.

During thirty-four years of service in the United States Army Wesley K. Clark rose to the rank of four-star general as NATO's Supreme Allied Commander.

I can't think of anyone with better qualifications than Wes Clark.
