please don't nominate our gov for VP
i didn't catch the name of the dem strategist but he said the smart choice for VP would be our governor, Ed Rendell. his idea was to forget the south and concentrate on the rust belt and pick a veep who had strong ties to unions.

leave our governor out of it please. we had tom ridge previous to his being named homeland sec and we have a lot of things to fix and we need Ed to get it done.

2. Wouldn't think they'd do the Rust Belt
Instead, South or Southwest.

Bill Richardson (NM)
Bob Graham (FL)
John Edwards

I'm from Philadelphia originally, and I know he was a great mayor there--I think he will also be a great governor, given the chance--but I also think he has too much personal baggage to be the VP. But I like him and Midge very much.

4. given the chance is right!
with the mess the pubbie legislature is making of the tax reforms. he has his hands full. we're going to have a hard enough time retaining him, let alone another unknown dem if he gets pulled away. i just don't want to lose and go back to total pubbie control in PA again.

5. Hey
We'll take your governer if we want to. We're the Democratic Party. Maybe you've heard of us? You better just thank your lucky stars we don't take your lieutenant Governor too! And we've had our eye on your secretary of state too.

Actually I'm just kidding; but while I feel for your state, I have to say that if Gov. Rendell would bring us closer to beating President Bush, I'd say take him without regrets. On the other hand I don't think that's likely. I think the VP will be Edwards--but who knows what the future holds.

6. Probably not going to happen
He has only been Governor for a little over a year, and hasn't really accomplished much yet.

7. Not to mention who our Lt. Governor is...
That would not be good.
