To our Democratic Party Leaders...
Dear Democratic Party leaders:

I hope you will read every word of this. I am not some zealot or political activist, and I don't aspire to make a hobby out of whining. I'm fairly certain I am "normal."

I am a Democrat because it represents my ethics on issues of importance to me. Here's what pains me...a lot.

I so desperately want the Democrats to sweep the current nest of "Wrong-Doers" out of power. Yet, sitting at local democratic committee meetings & forums and reading St. Pete Times' news articles, I observie "egos" and ambition trampling all over teamwork. Winners don't need to make the other guy look small in order to stand tall.
"United, we stand. Divided, we fall."

For this reason I think Jim Davis's resorting to distortion or misrepresentation of so-called "facts" to attack Rod Smith is snake-like and unappealing. He should begin doing what Smith does well - stand on his own record of accomplishments. He should will his dirt-digging shovel to the GOP so they can hurt one another and lose elections, not us!

We need to shine as heroes if we are to keep the right face on the Democratic Party...and not publicly reduce one another to despicable candidates that no one in their right mind feels deserves his or her vote.
