Montana senate debate on C-Span right now
Burns is sounding like he's reading from Bush's script. Tester is coming off as very down to earth and very intelligent at the same time.

1. What does the polling look like in Montana?
Burns is a blubbering fool. It's looking like Tester is holding his own nicely.

2. I haven't seen a poll since the primary
But I know that before the primary, Burns was trailing Tester and Morrison. Knowing the GOP smear machine, Tester can't take anything for granted (and I'm sure that he is not) but Burns is unquestionably in deep shit. Montana is likely to become a state with two dem senators and a dem state government that goes reliably red in presidential elections. Of course, maybe the part about red in presidential elections will change too.

3. Last I saw, Tester was leading by about 4%....This debate shows why...DAMN
this guy is good. Burns is burnt toast. John Tester is relaxed, confident, informed and articulate. Montana is a lucky state.

4. Burns is so fifties. Memorizing Rove talking points is the only thing
that puts him in touch with the 21st century.
