Thom Hartman re: "cut and run" vs "end the occupation"
Last night, on the Majority Report, Hartman talked about how good the Republicans are at framing issues. Case in point, "cut and run". Americans don't like to loose at anything and will get behind those that promise a win. Hartman made a credible point. Americans don't want to loose this war, but it's no longer a war. IT'S AN OCCUPATION! Democrats need to start calling the Iraq situation an occupation to gain support for their position of redeployment --- and they need to repeat over and over and over, "End the occupation to give the Iraqis responsibility for their own country." Thom's idea is great. I expected to hear some "end the occupation" chatter today, but I'm not surprised that I didn't. Come on Dems start framing!

1. I agree with Thom completely -- it's an occupation
I was hoping others would pick up on this, too, but I was thrilled to hear Democrats uttering the word "lie" today repeatedly, so maybe tomorrow they'll start using the "o" word.

2. Not a war
It was an invasion and now an occupation.
