Who here agrees that I'm a right wing corporatist? (clearing the air)
Edited on Mon Jun-19-06 08:33 PM by inthebrain
<<<<<<<<<<<You're just barfing up the same crap you've been posting over and over and over.

All these "taliking" points you keep repeating are funded by Corporate-sponsored race-baiting groups. They're funded by Right-Wing Corporatocrats. The same ones that support Bush. You've been severely duped as to who is pulling the strings. You've become a pawn of the Bush dictatorship and Corporate America.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

I'm sure many here are familiar with my posting and viewpoints when it comes to labor issues. Who here agrees with the above characterization of my stand on labor issues?

Feel free to be candid about it.

7. I must be flaiming myself
Some here think my post reflect that I'm a rightwing corporatist. I'd like to know how many think that and why.

Is it flaming if I'm directing constructive critisim toward myself?

6. You have to learn not to take everyone seriously here.
Some people are seriously bang-up nutso here, or are pretty good at acting like it. You have to learn to step away from the broken-record types, the habitual whiners, the show-offs, and the hobbyist contrarians, and learn what you can from the people who are actually thinking.

13. All sorts of things.
I'm not really speaking of people with a certain opinion. It's more about how they go about trying to convince people of things.

14. Ok -
Everybody has an opnion (and an asshole)-

I have this conclusion:

We may fix a financial situaion, however dire - but we can NEVER replace the dead kids in some foreign field, never. Not in Flaunders, not in Bastogne, and certainly not in Iraq.

I have no problem with you - not at all. And I sure understand there could be a financial "settlement" with the conservatives. But if there is there is also a soltial "settelment" with them. Karma.

Frankly, the conservatives and us are on the same page here. I hope we see we are reading the same book. We are.

I think.

Joe

12. Thanks for the advice
but I dont take them seriously. I did five years of art school and have been subjected to much harsher critisism than I receive on a message board. It stings much worse when the peice you were working on for 72 hours gets torn to shreads.

I just want to make sure that I am communicating effectivly enough.

15. this is a general call out...
...and is against one of the most respected of all the DU rules-- don't try to pick arguments with individual DUers. Tell me how this thread differs, except that you want the folks you'll argue with to identify themselves for you. And the quote in the OP can be traced back to a single DUer anyway.

Call outs are not civil discourse on DU.

19. It's directed at me
I am trying to see if others get the same impression from my posts. If someone wants to search long and hard enough I'm sure they'll find out who it is.

Either way I find the outrage dsplayed over this thread to be a little over the top. Esppecially when we have a group of posters using this board as a springboard to post hate speach from hate groups. Yet there is little next to nothing as far as outrage directed at them.

I can't get over how quickly Liberals and Progressives are to dime eachother out on this board. I have a hard time believing that the Freepers are this bad at attacking eachother. How the hell do you have a candid discussion on this board by constantly complaining over the rules.

I don't even see how this thread breaks any of them as it is not a personel attack on any posters (Unless you want to claim that I have opened myself up for it. Yet I stated that I'm willing to accept constructive crtisism on my stances). The thread is based on substance and an issue.

It's not like I'm attacking someones mother. Someone posted that they think my posts reflect that I'm a right wing corporatist. I want to know if others think the same from my postings.
