http://www.quinnipiac.edu/x11385.xml?ReleaseID=922

Still trails among likely voters by 15%, but is gaining fast.

4. Encouraging news!!
Now I can't wait to see the first post on this thread about how we Lieberman haters are obsessing over "one issue" (hah!) and we should just shut up and go along with Mr. DLC ... Blah blah blah ...

7. What are Lamont's chances in the general election
if he pulls off the upset in the primary? Isn't Joe likely to run a spoiler independent campaign?

8. Ned Lamont will defeat the Republican easily
And considering that Lamont name recognition rate is still low -- 24%, that's fantastic news.

The Dem Primary date is August 8. August 9 is when Independents must get their petition signatures into the Secretary of State. Lieberman has to make a decision within the next few weeks about whether to stay in the Dem Primary race or go Independent. He will need time to collect signatures. He needs 1 or 2% of registered voters to get on the Nov ballot as an Independent. If he tries to collect signatures while running in the Dem Primary, Chaos theory says this deception will be leaked to the public. All it takes is one Lamont supporter to find out and the blogs will run wild with it.

If Lieberman forces a 3 way race, as of this poll Lieberman would win over Lamont and the Repuke, but as this poll shows, the more people see Lieberman, the less they like him. November is a ways away and bolting before the August primary will give Ned Lamont more time to improve his name recognition problem and consolidate Dem and Dem-leaning Indy support. The DNC will support Ned if Lieberman bolts the Dem Party. The DSCC may support Lieberman but they will be under pressure to either remain neutral or support Lamont.

If Lieberman bolts the Dem Party to go Indy, he still has to campaign and Ned is gaining momentum and will keep the pressure on him. Lieberman is banking on Ned's campaign to peeter off, but that won't happen.

9. re: gathering signatures
I think the Nader sheniagans in 2000 and 2004 shows that the Republicans may have in fact already gathered the signatures for Libermans indy run.

10. Smell that freshness? Aaaaaah! All I Can Say Is...
...having had my account dormant for awhile and only being able to read the posts and comments, I cannot help but notice that Holy Joe's #1 fluffer (or staffer paid to post here to puff up "NoJoementum") 'round here seems to have...well, taken a powder, or perhaps been sent to the powder room and then locked in for awhile.

Praying hard for a Lamont victory in the Nutmeg, but it's all the better right now without what seem like paid flacks flogging for Bush's kissin' buddy hereabouts.

Been away awhile, but baby...I'm back! :)(

sweet! Could it be all the liberal-bashing?

I don't see his profile in the "user profile section"

I thought they usually put tombstones there?

16. Homey was skatin' on thin ice with lead skates for awhile...
Referring to Lamont supporters as "thugs" and "terrorists", using Peckinpah-esque violent language to describe how Lieberman would dispose of Lamont come primary time, his tossing around supportive phrases like "your party" in calling out Dems who disliked Lieberman (on DEMOCRATIC Underground!), and intentional flame-bait threads he reveled in starting, pouring verbal gasoline on and crowing about. Additionally, he went waaaaay out of his way to personally insult, snipe at and conescend to people in a weird, unpredictbale way.

I'm surprised he lasted as long as he did...I saw when he started posting here shilling for "Holy-sh*t Joe" and sad to say, almost immdiately caught the whiff of troll-funk. :(

17. good
what's amusing is that he doesn't understand that CTs primary is closed. He's an independent, so he will learn in a rude way on August 8th.

13. Very impressive for the "unknown millionaire".
Looks like he's becoming known, and - surprise! - his numbers go up as Lieberman's go down.

GO LAMONT!
