Bush on 666 on Border Patrol - PHOTOS
I just caught the end of *'s impromptu press conference from Laredo. He looks older yet and like he was coming apart at the seams. So I searched for a few photos from today's adventure with Air Force One burning up more and more fuel at any cost.

US President George W. Bush, pictured here leaving the White House, was to watch aspiring US Border Patrol agents practice checking buses and trains for stow-aways as he underlined his commitment to border security.

1. I'm actually gonna paraphrase Ronald Reagan
"There he goes AGAIN!!!!"

What is WITH this nitwit?? He's just GOTTA have the COSTUME--the cute little HAT. The props too, that car is just the ticket!!!

He's GOTTA have the uniformed people who are ordered to attend his little event around and behind him, like a human backdrop.

He's GOTTA have the HUGE SIGN, always--is that to remind him of the topic du jour???

2. Wardrobe! Makeup!
* changed shirts/outfits at least three times today. He left the WH in a white shirt, arrived at the border patrol events in a blue shirt and ended in Laredo in a light gray or off-white shirt.

8. He's wearing a LOT of makeup today
Foundation, concealer, lip gloss, eye cream. He's heavily made up. And some of those photos look retouched or deliberately grainy to smooth out wrinkles and details - like all the busted capillaries on his face.

4. Captain Dress-Me-Up strikes again!
It must be his lack of experience doing ANYTHING at all that makes him want to dress up in brand new gear that looks like the stuff real working people use.

9. What would be the outfit that reflects who he really is?
Cheerleader? Short pants? I haven't worked it out yet.

6. just once, I'd like him to show up in a shirt that's the same color ...
... as the shade invisible to certain cameras ("bluescreen" or "greenscreen", whichever). And then we'd be treated to his head bobbing along in midair, unconnected to anything else.

They did mess up with his tie once (it threw off interference patterns all through a speech). So I can dream ...

And I love "Captain Dress-Me-Up". There was a children's show up here in Canada called "Mr. Dress-Up", where the host would put on a different zany costume every time. I had wanted to call Bush that, but I didn't want to malign the good name of the real "Mr. Dress-Up" -- so your proposal is perfect!

p.s. way back in 2001, one of the kids at a trail-building photo-op complained that Bush "smelled funny, kind of like new carpet" -- Bush was dressed in just-out-of-the-box work clothing (and carrying a shovel with the store stickers still attached!). I laugh every time I remember that.
