5. It won't be just the party getting into a civil war

It will be the entire country.

And it's not a "liberal/moderate schism". The DLC are not "moderates". They are corporatist stealth Republicans, and their mission is to destroy the Democratic party from the inside while maintaining the illusion that we still have a choice. The impending threat of the "Kerronation" proves how far their plan has succeeded :(
