Prebutting Bill O'Reilly's "Culture Warrior"
Bill O'Reilly's got a new book coming out this fall. Here's the official description, annotated for your pleasure:
Bill O'Reilly is the very embodiment of the idea of a Culture Warrior - and in this book he lives up to the title brilliantly with all the brashness and forthrightness at his command. He sees that America is in the midst of a fierce culture war between those who embrace traditional values and those who want to change America into a "secular-progressive" country. This is a conflict that differs in many ways from the usual liberal/conservative divide, but it is no less heated.

In his introduction, O'Reilly defines this war and breaks down the U.S. population into three camps: the apathetic, the ideologues, and the persuadables. He examines why the nation's motto, E Pluribus Unum ("From Many, One") might change to "What About Me?" He dissects the forces in the media behind the secular-progressive camp and their counterparts on the right, and dives into matters of race, education, and the war on terror. He also shows how the culture war has played out in such high-profile instances as The Passion of the Christ, Fahrenheit 9/11, the porn epidemic (child and otherwise), and the embattled place of religion in public life. Whatever controversies are roiling the nation, he'll fearlessly confront them - and no one will be in the dark about what side he's on.

Culture Warrior showcases Bill O'Reilly at his most eloquent and impassioned. He is a fierce fighter for the soul of America, and in this book he clearly fights the good fight.

1. Yes, those who embrace "traditional values"
like lieing, stealing, cheating, sexual abuse, etc. etc. That would be the side that O'Reilly's on. Definitely.

:puke:

2. Nope, he's got it all wrong. The 'culture war' is between those seeking to
KEEP America as a 'secular-progressive' country and those who want to CHANGE into Theo-fascist paradise.

8. A public book burning,
or a paper shredder and loading up a trash dumpster would be fun....Oooops, My Bad! I forgot that only right wing-nut radicals and freaky fundies act that way.

9. LOL
My liberal sister-in-law gave me a copy of Bernard Goldberg's book on media bias. I don't think she realized what position the a-hole was taking.

In any case, I'm stuck with it. I can't make myself destroy a book. I keep thinking I'll donate it to Goodwill or something, but that means someone might read it! It's sitting in my house collecting dust. I'll probably have it until I die.

remove the pages and insert all the pages from Ms.Mackaris' harrassment lawsuit testimony against him, then give the book to a fundie. LOL!

6. What chapter covers the topics
sexual harrassment and phone sex?
If Dild O'Rielly wasn't such a magnificent maggot of a man, the credibility of this book would be at best, ludicrous. The book should be sold in pairs....one to shit on and the other to cover it up. Personally, I thank my lucky stars that Bellow Rielly isn't looking out for me.
