"Jellocrats"?!
<http://www.buzzflash.com/index.php?story=Story>

After hearing Pelosi say impeachment is off the table, and other democrats refusing to go for the jugular on an administration with its president who has a 29% approval rating, I suppose jellocrats is an appropriate term. How I wish Dean had not promised to stay out of 2008.

2. I think the point of the article is Hayden's appointment, not impeachment.
There's a lot of difference of opinion within the Democratic party about impeachment, and they all have some validity, imho.

The Hayden appointment is another matter...I'd like to see all Democrats stand against this nomination as a stand for checks and balances. A military man as the head of the CIA is a dangerous precedence.

His role in the NSA is damning in and of itself, as well.

Bush seems intent on pushing the envelope as far as he can.
This is a good point to say No.

3. I'd like to see the Dems stand against Hayden, but they won't.
They are so afraid of of rightwing pundits saying they are weak on the war on terror. How can they (Al Queda) hate us for our freedoms if we don't have any? Who really believes they (NSA-Hayden) are not spying on all their political enemies, which is anyone who doesn't believe in their shite or who doesn't disagree with their policies.

5. Who is this asshole who thinks this is...
the first time Frank Rich has taken the administration to task? Buzzflash lets people who never read the Times write about the Times?

Democrats in both houses have had their asses handed to them along party lines for how many years now?

What the hell are they supposed to do? Stand up for some principle or other and let the Republicans play whack-mole?

Republicans have all three houses and complete control of the entire government. Until that changes, there will be no change.
