Is Kucinich out?!
Just heard Dean in Washington on NPR: "I was the only one to stand up against the Iraq war...from the people who are left" (in the race).

He is STILL doing this.

2. Maybe he should have said...
"Among the candidates who have won delegates"?

13. No one gets delegates except by winning them.

You don't have to win a state to win delegates.

16. You have to get 15%
Kucinich has not done so yet. His only delegates are super delegates.

18. Iowa hasn't chosen delegates yet.
Just county convention. The state's convention slate has not yet been chosen.

12. Of course he will
then say it again. I, for one, have had enough of misinformation from the guy residing in the White House. This was Deans first big mistake for me, I left him before this but since this he has been in my last place.

17. He's in *my* last place, too
I have a good memory, it's just short.

Even so, I know that once corrected like he was, I wouldn't be "forgetting" it... no, this is NOT a "mistake". It's a slap and a snub, and not something I want in a person who is representing me. It says a lot.

4. I'm sure he's not.
We would have heard something, & his website would say something. He's vowed to stay in all the way to the convention.

It's more likely that Dean just "forgot" to include Dennis' name again. Sometimes he remembers; sometimes he doesn't remember.

we actually had to go through a Dean vs. Bush race. :puke:

I'm so tired of Dean's arrogance and inability to give others credit.

He is running in fewer states than Sharpton and Kucinich

25. I have tried very hard to like this guy!
Edited on Tue Feb-03-04 08:56 PM by iowapeacechief
I tried hard to warm up to him as my fall-back for the Iowa caucuses.

But, doggone it, if he can't even get this right, why should we give him a second thought otherwise? He never figured out how he was offending Kucinich supporters and why that mattered--which should be simple enough--so I concluded, regretfully, that it's been intentional.

I discussed it with him in person on January 9. He claimed he had "changed"--"after Dennis spoke to me," he said.

As far as I know, none of the other candidates has been so dismissive of Kucinich. Maybe because none of the others felt so threatened by him?

I wish I could dismiss it as a small thing.

On edit: fixed typo.

you started about that. I have tried too but I "know" this guy. He may be a Democrat but that is second place to being in this for himself.

29. I didn't want to believe that about him...
...but I can't help asking where Dennis would be now if Dean hadn't hyped himself as the "antiwar" candidate.

What if Dennis had placed first in the MoveOn primary instead of second?

If we could re-do the Iowa caucuses today, I think a bunch of Dean supporters I know would be with us!
