This is what Pat Robertson believes
"When I said during my presidential bid that I would only bring Christians and Jews into the government, I hit a firestorm. `What do you mean?' the media challenged me. `You're not going to bring atheists into the government? How dare you maintain that those who believe in the Judeo Christian values are better qualified to govern America than Hindus and Muslims?' My simple answer is, `Yes, they are.'" --from Pat Robertson's "The New World Order," page 218.

"You say you're supposed to be nice to the Episcopalians and the Presbyterians and the Methodists and this, that, and the other thing. Nonsense. I don't have to be nice to the spirit of the Antichrist. I can love the people who hold false opinions but I don't have to be nice to them."--Pat Robertson, The 700 Club, January 14, 1991

(talking about apartheid South Africa) "I think 'one man, one vote,' just unrestricted democracy, would not be wise. There needs to be some kind of protection for the minority which the white people represent now, a minority, and they need and have a right to demand a protection of their rights."--Pat Robertson, "The 700 Club," 3/18/92

"How can there be peace when drunkards, drug dealers, communists, atheists, New Age worshipers of Satan, secular humanists, oppressive dictators, greedy money changers, revolutionary assassins, adulterers, and homosexuals are on top?"--Pat Robertson, The New World Order, p.227

All of the above and many more can be found at:

http://www.geocities.com/CapitolHill/7027/quotes.html

This man is, or on a rational planet would be, beyond the pale. The notion that any politician or leader of a political party would go on this man's show to troll for votes is repugnant.

I agree we need a 50 state strategy, at least at the Congressional level. I agree we need to reach out to Christians but this isn't the way to do it. Their are millions and millions of Christians who don't spout delusional, hatefilled nonsense. Reaching out to some of them makes a great deal of sense. Reaching out to the delusional Robertson doesn't. Can any of you honestly say you couldn't imagine Coulter saying any or all of the above? Would Dean go on her show too?

1. Pat Robertson should just crawl into some hole in the pine
woods of Georgia and die. Everytime I see him I think of the movie "Marjoe" and have to shake my head at the bozos who fund him.

He is among the worst kinds of charlatans. A venal bigot masquerading as a man of God enriching and empowering himself at the expense of the ignorant. It is hardly surprising that he is a Republican.

3. The way to get that fraud is through the courts and the press
but unfortunately, he's got both of those groups either snowed or completely terrified of his retribution. The suckers who have televangelism on their TVs all day can be mobilized very quickly into a small but well disciplined and extremely loud group.

Only by retaking the public airwaves (including CABLE) and reinstituting the Fairness Doctrine can we counteract the constant drumbeat of hatred from Robertson and his fellow travelers.

I won't believe in justice until Robertson is exposed to the faithful for what he is, impoverished, and broken.

2. Memo to Robertson:
"How can there be peace when drunkards, drug dealers, atheists, worshipers of Satan, oppressive dictators, greedy money changers, revolutionary assassins and adulterers are on top?"

Well, we know that there can be no peace when they're 'at the top'. They're called neo-cons and BushCo, and they are currently in power.

10. Dean was wrong to even go on the 700 club.
Same as all the other Democrats running to be on Fox News. That channel is just as deplorable as Robertson and his 700 club program.

11. Weird thing is, Pat Robertson is not even remotely "Christian"
I've read that book... he's definitely not following their rules and guidelines for behavior. If the devil existed, he would dress himself up just like this dude, and lead all the blind men into the pit like lemmings.

Why do you hate Christians? Why aren't you "tolerant" of their beliefs?

15. Apparantly Robertson either didnt know or didnt care that
A plan to bring only Christians and Jews into government is unconstitutional since the constitution directly states there must be no religious test for office

16. And to the SCUM here who proudly stated: "But my parents watched and my
neighbors who are nice people, and my friends watched and support these guy!" And you are mean to suggest there is something wrong with them!

WELL THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THEM!

If your parents, and you and all your "nice" friends and neighbors watch as support these idiots, YOU ARE SCUM!

GET IT ONCE AND FOR ALL!

19. Well, you've got to give him credit -
at least he doesn't F* around. He just tells it like it is.

Look at these statements! I mean...."Yes they are (better)". I don't have to be nice to the Anti christ (meaning = other denominations).

"We should just take him out (Chavez)"

Like it or not, this man speaks his mind. He's got a microphone shoved in his face, and he starts spouting.
