Political Wire: In Ohio, Brown Pulls Ahead of DeWine
In Ohio, Brown Pulls Ahead of DeWine

In Ohio's U.S. Senate race, Rep. Sherrod Brown (D) holds a three-point lead over Sen. Mike DeWine (R), 44% to 41%, according to a new Rasmussen Reports poll.

"That's the first time he's been ahead in any of our six Ohio polls for Election 2006. It's worth noting that DeWine has lost ground in four straight polls."

Yeah, it's Rasmussen, but his polls usually lean to the right.

Good news!

3. this one worries me. Ohio is a conservative state
If Brown can win there, maybe the Dems can take back the Senate.

4. SOUTHERN Ohio is conservative....
...it's south of the Mason-Dixon line, you know.. :eyes:

If it weren't for everything south of Columbus (well, including most of Columbus), Dems would do fine here.

8. Well, there's Dayton.
Dayton proper, that is. One step out into the 'burbs, though, and it's sieg heil.

9. True. I went to college in Springfield...
Springfield was definitely a bloody red, but downtown Dayton seemed cool.

6. And Rasmussen polls trend Republican, too.
The real margin might be more like 5-7%. :-)

10. YAY!!!!!
that's great! now then the real poll if done right would be:

"answer your choice ONLY if you pay attention to the world around you" 99% Brown, 1% Dewine

the fundies in Delaware, Barnesville, Mt. Gilead, Lima, Dublin, Cincinnati, Newark and other red neck areas are gonna vote for the Republican who's against queer rights, 9 to 1.

Why doesn't Al's new station run a Duke's of Hazzard Marathon on election day... that oughta help a little.
(oh boy, here come the "hey!!! wait just a minute!)
