My Friend Just told Me Bush Is the Best President We've Ever
had. And that the low polls are due to the media lies. And he really believes this. I think he was just so anti-Clinton and so pro Bush that now he is in extreme denial. He says that if Bush hadn't done what he did (I don't know what that is since I don't think he's done much except start the war and give rich people tax breaks) that our gas would be so expensive that we couldn't afford it.

This is a person who loves to call Clinton a sociopath - both Clintons, actually.

I just had to tell him to be quiet. That we would get in a big fight right here in the library. That would be so embarrassing.

That's a very scary thought, isn't it.

That's the only way he could feel that Bush was the best president ever.

Does your friend also think that the Rapture™ will occur shortly?

7. How does one justify the attempted theft of another country's resources
with being a 'christian' president? I'm assuming that his reference to gas prices and Bush doing 'what he did' to mean Bush had to start the war in the middle east to get the oil.

9. The fruit of RW media and clinton hating for over a dozen years.
It's rare to find someone that buys it all, but for those few that do, what can you tell them? They don't live in the reality based world.

So. What church do they attend?

10. Your friend may shoot you some day at noon
claiming that he thought it was dark after midnight and that you were a marauding grizzly bear or lycanthrope. Or he might run you down in his car claiming that you appeared to be a fastfood drivethru lane. His thinkomatic is so direly fucked up that it's playing tricks on his eyes & other senses--I'd give him a wide berth.

Edited on Thu May-11-06 10:22 AM by Divernan
And as far as continuing to support Bush, people are either extremely selfish and uncaring about the great and lasting damage W has caused to people, countries and the environment , or they are mentally ill and in denial of reality, or they are plain stupid! Whether it's their greed, their mental illness or their stupidity, by enabling Bush, these people are responsible for Bush's actions. If someone should ask what are the qualities you look for in a friend, who would reply greed, mental illness or stupidity?

I have walked away from former friends and some family members because of their staunch & aggressive support of Bush. And I have told some of the apolitical ones that they owe it to themselves, their kids, their grandkids and their country to become politically aware.
