"You do not speak for me"
Walkout gets under way across U.S.
Organizers predict unprecedented rallies to support immigrants

Meanwhile, a coalition of Hispanic-American groups held a news conference in Washington to stress that the protesters do not represent all immigrants.

"We understand the importance, contribution immigrants have made to the economy and the industry of this great nation," said retired Col. Albert F. Rodriguez, a veteran of World War II and the Vietnam War.

"But the difference is that we and millions of others like us did it legally. We're all here today to tell all those illegal protesters, 'You do not speak for me.' "

2. Hey! They found some Hispanic Repuglicans to interview!
Good job, CNN, took you until today, did it?

The legal/illegal divide was erased here when hate radio got cranked up on Hispanics, in general. The Hispanos here have been her for 400+ years, but they still teach the kids Spanish along with English. Hate radio was ranting against anyone who speaks Spanish.

Now they're going to reap what they've sown, I hope.

3. This is a popular movement w/out an identified leader. Swiftboating
won't work.

I noticed that for all the power of the movement, which comes from millions in the streets, there
is no identified leader. There are many carrying the flag. If one falls, the others can pick it
up. But there is no leader.

How unfortunate for the MSM and bigots. They can't do a media "tear down" on the leader and thus
neuter the movement by allowing right wingers to oppose the movement due to the leader's flaws.

Good for them. Viva la Raza

6. That is the "Condi Attitude"

not being supportive of the Poor or forgetting where they came from and how they got here.

These uppity people got here on the backs of their ancestors who got lucky.

I call that the "Condi Attitude"

7. And how many said they were speaking for Mr. Rodriguez?
I don't recall seeing any of them holding up a sign that said, "And this is how Albert F. Rodriguez feels, too!" Curious that the media would go to so much trouble to interview and report on people who AREN'T making the news.

I'd sure like a lot more coverage of Americans for whom the corrupt Bush administration does not speak when it launches an illegal invasion of another country based on demonstrable lies.

I mean, just for consistency's sake.
