McCain calls for "more coercive" measures on Iran
snip>
McCain calls more "more coercive" measures to block Iran from further developing its nuclear weapons capacity.

"The Security Council should impose multilateral sanctions, including a prohibition on investment, a travel ban, and asset freezes for government leaders and nuclear scientists. In taking these steps at the UN, China and Russia should know that their decisions on the Iranian issue will be a key test of our relations."

This is a dead issue at the Security Council. The only way this sanctions regime is going to happen is over all of our dead bodies. Hundreds of thousands, millions of us. Iranians, Israelis, Americans, Chinese, Russians.

Sanctions ain't gonna happen, Senator. Get down off that white horse. You don't know how to ride, anyway.

3. The exact opposite
...of what Wes Clark said today. He said that we need to turn down the rhetoric.

McCain is one of them.

5. Iran has the right of self-defence, with nukes if necessary
Edited on Fri Apr-28-06 09:59 PM by IndianaGreen
I won't support a war against Iran. I won't support the troops. I won't support the war criminal the troops have as Commander-in-Chief. I won't lift a finger to assist another war of aggression by the Messianic madman in the White House.

If these people are so arrogant and deluded that they think they can win a war against Iran, let them fail as they have in Iraq.
