Chimp-Monster at 40% (new low) in Repuke Leaning Poll

Forty percent (40%) of American adults now approve of the way George W. Bush is performing his role as President. That matches the lowest level ever measured by Rasmussen Reports.

Fifty-nine percent (59%) disapprove.

The President earns approval from 73% of Republicans, 16% of Democrats and 27% of those not affiliated with either major party. Until last fall, the President typically enjoyed approval ratings in the high-80s among Republicans.

1. The breakdown here is interesting and encouraging.

Strongly Approve 20%
Strongly Disapprove 43%

Note that 23% more strongly disapprove of * than strongly approve. Even the low level of support he has is very half-hearted support, mostly. Except of course for the core fanatics....represented by the 20% who "strongly approve."

5. What I find interesting is that those who strongly disapprove

outweigh those who strongly and somewhat approve. I watch Rasmussen every day because their figures reflect a 3 day trend, but they consistently show his approval ratings 3-5 points higher that any other poll.

This is another good website to check poll numbers. They average several different polls together.
