Censure: What could go wrong?

Honestly, I can't really think of any looming problems with censure but just to stay ready, the following came to mind:

1) Quickly Forgotten
If censure fails, by next week it'll be old news. So even if we're not successful today we must keep this on the front burner. It could be major in November.

2) Disloyal Opposition
As it relates to number 1, we're obviously going to need to hammer our Dem Senator's phones, even after today....whether it's to congratulate them or hold their feet to the fire.

1. I think this is a win, win situation

If they vote it in, we win. If they vote it down, we win. We can use it against them over and over until 2008.

2. Inoculating the Repugs

Suppose Karl Rove identifies those Repugs who are most vulnerable to being pulled down by Bush-itis, allows them to vote FOR censure so they can then say in October, "See, I am independent of the White House and don't follow the party line" Censure will still fail, but those Repugs may be more likely to keep their seats.
